QF Lineup
Harlequins v London Irish
Gloucester v Dragons
Sale v Montpellier
Grenoble v Connacht

Correct me if I'm wrong but we play the winner of Quins v London Irish:
If it is Quins in the semi we are home
If it is London Irish in the semi we are away

He had bicep surgery in December and is listed as long term injured on their website. Don't know how long these things, hopefully he'll be fully fit when he comes back to us whatever about their match v Harlequins.

I know that but Nathan White had the same, and was back within 3 months. Early December means he may be back in March, ready to play almighty Quins in April. I don't say they should rush him back, just that there's a possibility he faces Harlequins just before we do the same in semi-final :p

Looks like London Irish got the final spot.
Also means that even if Brive did beat Newcastle today, Connacht would still have squeezed through at the expense of London Irish.

Grenoble it is!

They certainly play a high tempo game, but left themselves very open at times. Gonna be tricky though, was hopin Edinburgh would sneak it. I'd certainly take it over Quins away though, which is what we would have gotten in second

If we do beat Grenoble who are we looking at in a semi? Quins I'd imagine as Grenoble are 4th seeds and Quins 1st. Away is it?

Hopefully Grenoble are caught up domestically when we get to play them

Edinburgh will be very disappointed with that try. Need a try now or two penalties. Draw is no good to them in terms of winning the group.

How is Grenoble doing in the Top 14 ? Would we 'prefer' them to Edinburgh ? They are looking more dangerous than Edinburgh so far but a couple of giveaways mean that Edinburgh lead.

This game is chaotic but enjoyable. Two bad mistakes have given Edinburgh their foothold, turnover which eventually resulted in a try and a dropped ball under no pressure. Grenoble playing at a ferocious pace but leaving themselves open to intercepts. Edinburgh as usual very functional and it could see they win this one.

Job done. In the end Newcastle fell behind against Brive but managed to retrieve the situation to win. Brive needed a bonus to pass us out anyway and missed out altogether. A bit disappointed Gloucester didn't secure the 5 to finish top seed which would have given us a home semi-final against them if we came through.

I make it the lineup is like this but am open to correction. Loser of tonight will face Harlequins and winner will face us. London Irish have an outside chance if they get 5 and Edinburgh get 0 as they have a better head to head.

QF Lineup
Harlequins v Grenoble/Edinburgh/London Irish
Gloucester v Dragons
Sale v Montpellier
Grenoble/Edinburgh v Connacht

Newcastle are hammering Brive

We have TBP sorted

So the winner of Grenoble/Edinburgh it is then?

I would be surprised if Brive even get a losing bonus point in Kingston Park, let alone a try bonus.

(If you're reading this on the dressing room wall: Hi Thomas!)

I'd expect a Brive win. I don't expect them to get a bonus try win.
Hoping for us to have our heads in order for today

Borders no.2 wrote: The result tonight has changed things a fair bit. Hopefully everything goes ok tomorrow in the other games. Either way a game against Gloucester is potentially down the tracks at some stage.

Yep, but this time, they'll be coming here ... if we make it that far ...
