So that's the Tote covered, now what about on track Bookies...

For punters just meaningless blather, by the sounds of it most of the benefit is back office....

The announcement reads to me more like IGB infrastructure than specifically Sportsground facilities. They talk about moving stuff from one cloud provider to another - that sounds central - and having staff use Office 365, which they could take with them wherever they went.
Somewhere between irrelevant, and negotiating tactic, I would say.
Plus the Donegal Democrat has the same article for Lifford.

Well looks like the dogs are sticking around if they are getting a tech upgrade
The headline and opening sentence bear no relation to the rest of the article/press release. No mention of any actual investment in the Sportsground. It could even be the first step in a project to migrate dog racing entirely to the cloud so no actual stadiums or dogs will be required :silly:

“There were some smashing, really smashing tries out there,” said Keane, “but you only have to look at the surface – a really good surface and can’t speak highly enough of it because it’s a magnificent stadium, suited the way we wanted to play. Whoever had the idea, I’d like to shake their hand, maybe we need one in Galway – can you do something about that?”

Jaysus 4D, that's some stat. We must've spent our lives watching seriously below average players. 60m is a good distance to kick a ball lengthways ...

I think I'd knock every stand and start from scratch if possible with a retractable roof
To achieve everything on your wish list, I think you will need to put a "1" in front of your 30.
Also remember the Dogs will want enough to build a new facility for themselves so it won't be the case of just buying out their lease.
If only it were that simple.
Didn't the dogs give Connacht a number to buy them out of their lease when all this talk was starting off? I have 10 million in my head but I could be pulling that out of my arse.

I not sure 30 million would get a stadium with a retractable roof though.
