Such a shame the way it all worked out, he'd have been coming in at an ideal time with Niyi potentially out with the bicep injury (any word on the severity of the injury)? I still think we need extra cover in the back 3.

Any way he might come here for next season?

Sevu Reece brought into Crusaders training squad. Not likely to get a contract though as they've a rake of depth in the back 3. Could possibly follow their assistant coach to Scarlets?

And with Scholes having left, it's certainly making way for one of Adam Byrne/Keenan to come over next season (or on a loan deal before if needed). When you see how they've destroyed Dragons away, they certainly waste talent with only 3 or 4 games per season. Just like Kelleher realised.

O'Donnell moving back to TH leaves a door wide open for Dooley too! :)

Yeah I quoted Leader and DeBuitlear but it's a huge bet, both have cumulted less than 10 caps over the last 2 years....

About Godwin on the wing, that's true. Not sure it's a good idea (he's a 12/10 working in little space), but... better than nothing.

Bundee is having his 4-week rest, so he'll only miss 2 or 3 Pro14 games from now, in February/March. I guess it leaves an open door to have Godwin as 11/23 more often..

Godwin has played on the wing a few times for us, Leader started on the wing against Dragons. I'm a bit concerned by our depth there there but there was no point holding on to Scholes when it's obvious that he's bottom of the pecking order. Hope it goes well for him in Brive but he's had opportunities with 3 teams at this level now and not made the breakthrough. Better for both parties to let him have his chance somewhere else.

I'd be fairly certain De Buitlear will get opportunities in Europe at least.

I've completely missed Scholes signed for Brive as medical joker.
Hope Niyi injury isn't that bad (biceps?)

That leaves us with only 4 back-3 players : Leader Kelleher TOH and Healy. None of our centres played 15 or winger. Horwitz is a 10/12 not FB eiither...

Friend should trust young DeBuitlear a lot! He should contribute as soon as next week.
But still we're very light there now, Adeolokun has to come back ASAP...

No contact I guess. Should be 50/50 for Saturday.

Couple of belts to the ribs according to Andy Friend, no chance of missing the game. If there was they'd have flown someone out by now.

All three, Heff, Eoghan, and Peter Robb should be selected for the Perpignan game in Galway if fit.

Some good news on the injury front: Dave Heffernan and Eoghan Masterson both played for Buccs in the AIL last weekend. Peter Robb played for Mary's.

Unless I'm mistaken he was already offered a place and turned it down to stay at Leinster?

Technically yes, academy players are on one year contracts. That being said, he’s getting decent game time at Leinster and we have Conors Fitzgerald and Dean in and around the same age.
