Some good stuff in the Connacht supplement in the Independent today to whet the appetite for tomorrow:

You know it's a big one when Sky Sports are over doing a preview. Good video I have to say:

going to give myself plenty of time to get into the Sportsground aiming to be in the ground an hour before kickoff, also there's a soccer game on earlier in the afternoon so this could lead to a buildup in traffic.

The craggy Island crew will be on Galway Bay FM between 6 and 7 this evening, if Linley is on then there she might have some clues about the likely starting 15

He has been confirmed available. If he doesn't play for any reason then that's Pat's decision.

I think you may be undervaluing the importance of Ronaldson to the team. AJ has done very well since Carty got injured but AJ still isn't trusted with place-kicking. Realistically Ronaldson is our only reliable place kicker and as such would be a certainty to play if fit. He brings a lot more too but for place-kicking alone he'd have to start and he will be a big loss. This game will tight and I could see us losing by a couple of points having missed a few kicks.

I may have expressed myself unclearly. I didn't expect to trigger the uproar for saying what I considered such an uncontested thing.

Henshaw may be available
He's mainly a Centre now
At no moment I said he should be ahead of TOH for FB
BUT yes I'm certain he's ahead of Robb, Ronaldson and Parata, even if those last two were available, to form the pairing with Aki.
AJ deserves to retain his starting 10 spot, and Lam does'nt play Craig there anyway. Kicking to the post is not enough to change his global strategy.

So Craig would have been on the bench except if Robbie has played FB, with TOH on the wing (i wouldn't have been in favour of that solution, it would have implied dropping Healy our best tryscorer, I disagree whatever the weather.)

Beside the cases "Henshaw as 15 or out", it is obvious Craig would have benched. My opinion. I keep going with it, but FFS it's not a nonsense.

Game is at 5:15. Think I'll aim to be up in the Sportsground for 4:30
Means I'll need to be in O'Connells for 3:30 for my two pre-match pints.

Delighted that's it's a sell out. Can't wait. Hopefully a great atmosphere and a Connacht win. Will have to hit the town earlier as I'm thinking getting to ground 10-15 mins before kick off is a no no for this match. Unbeaten this season with my ritual - O'Connell's-An Pucan-Murty Rabbit's-Sportsground-Connacht Win :) Ye guys thinking of meeting up anywhere????

I was just thinking, Leinster usually send down a decent number of fans to this game, and their accents seem to echo throughout the Clan Stand. Will need to make sure they're drowned out

And to be fair, it usually adds to the atmosphere, as once they start singing, some Connacht fans sing louder

Hope all the Leinster fans get stuck behind the posts

Should be a cracker, however I think the Galway Indo may have let the occasion get to them and have gotten slightly ahead of themselves:
