One of the best moments from Saturday night as at one point in the second half, we set down in a scrum on roughly their 10 metre line, with Bundee as number 8 and Mul standing at outside centre.
It was obviously a pre-rehearsed move to get some speed off the back of the scrum, but it just shows how we're willing to mix things and go with the completely unexpected.
I think at the time they had made all their pack changes except Heaslip, though he way have been on too.

Just loving how we're playing with no inhibitions this season, it's fantastic to watch.

Another brilliant night at the sportsground. There really is nothing like being in the ground for moments like we had on Saturday - holding out a Leinster side with all the big guns fresh off the bench was just magic.

One thing I noticed when I watched it back on TV that I hadn't noticed on the night was Bundee and Robbie having a little prayer at the end. I knew Bundee was very religious, but I'd never seen that before with Robbie. Maybe we'll see it a few more times before the end of the season, and perhaps in a couple of years time after Ireland games :-)

:) :) Big smile on my face all day today. Brilliant from Players and the supporters all season long. Start of an amazing journey for us. There are also many many more who may work etc in all parts of the country but whose allegiance is steadfastly to Connacht and, they will all be proud as punch.

Great win. A lot of sore bodies today I would say. Was there ever a better day in the Sportsground? I know we have beaten Leinster before in the Sportsground but was not this something beyond special? How can it get better than this? Credit to a huge team performance. Isn't it amazing that a player who wasn't supposed to start ends up being man of the match? It says it all about this team. We do not roll over anymore to anybody and we have depth nearly everywhere. Just loved it. A very proud connacht supporter. Isnt it great after following your team for so many years to finally witness a breakthrough? And to have real talent coming through our academy there is no reason to believe that there is an end in sight.

New blog reacting to the game, we'll probably find that I echo a lot of what's already been said. All the same we can't say enough times what a great win this was for us and how well all the guys played.

I don't think Finlay Bealham has been singled out but going up against Healy and McGrath for 75 minutes and largely getting the better of both was absolutely Herculean. He really put himself about in defense too and shut up a few doubters about why he was in the Ireland squad.

You can't flag for offsides, KOs, etc only for foul play.

Nacewas tip was for me a clear pen as he made no attempt to catch the ball.

Fantastic evening! The manner of the trench warfare win is so significant.
I thought Leinster's much stronger bench (on paper anyway) didn't contribute nearly as much when they came on, as the Connacht bench (On separate note sad to see Luke Fitzgerald go off injured yet again).
The atmosphere and tension on the ground built up better than any TV or movie blockbuster.
I can imagine in the coming years everybody in Galway and Connacht claiming they were "out" in the Sportsground, Easter 2016. Same as everyone claimed to have been "out in Easter 1916.

I was cursing Nigel int he second half for stopping the clock at every scrum, and me with a ticket for the 7.15 Citylink. I musta looked like a complete lunatic sprinting out the gate and down College Rd jumping about the place with a big smiley head on me. Missed the departure anyway and had to bus-jack it at the lights, receiving dog's abuse from the driver. I was well past Kilbeggan before my heart regained any semblance of a regular rhythm.

Just in relation to Nigel Owens, heard that he had a bad dose, and didn't even warm up properly before the game. Wasn't sure that he would finish it either so fair play to him for getting through it.

I watched the game again when I got home and wanted to see a few of his decisions that I wasn't happy with. Have to say that he got most of them correct , sometimes what we want to see and what actually happens are two different things.

As regards the ARs , Nigel likes to be the boss man and officiated accordingly, ARs are linked up to him and would be communicating with him on and off. What Nigel does with the information is up to him , he can use it or ignore it as is his wont.

That was pretty special.

The win was even better because Leinster were well up for it, and in truth it was a 50:50 game for a long period. Their weakest link was Madigan, who was exceptionally poor. But Nacewa was superb, even if he should have received a yellow, maybe two.
I really feared for us when the heavy cavalry came on, especially Heaslip, who's hit on Buckley was incredible. How we held out in the last few moments just demonstrated, not just the heart of the team, but their defensive systems, well organised and never panicking, immense. Also, their calmness on the last few plays while running down the clock...whew!

I though AJ had an incredible game, he was very battered at the end, hope he is ok for next week. And Blade was great at both 10 and 9, super player. Big shout for SOB 2.0, best game since his time in Roscrea, fantastic.

Lots of Connacht fans giving out about Nigel Owens at the game, and lots on Leinster site giving out about him also. Say what you like, he lets things go, so rugby gets played. It's no coincidence that the games he refs are very exciting, and he was never going to give a penalty in the last scrum once the ball was available. George Clancy take note. Must say the linesmen were even more useless than usual. Nigel tweeted that he was in bed for two days before the game with a cold, and that he doesn't know how he got through it, so fair dues.
