Isn't Jamie Dever in the Connacht academy?
I thought all the academy lads play in AIL or can they be dual registered with their home club?

Delighted for Connemara

Wasn't Andrew McAleer playing underage rugby with Connacht u18s that won the interpros?

Connacht Junior Cup and Plate finals were on in Sportsground today.
Connemara won Plate beating Loughrea 21-10
Galwegians won Cup beating Westport 35-15
Was v hungover watching these so no great report but Connemara were probably 15-20 points better than Loughrea but couldn't get the extra scores to show their dominance
Wegians showed real class in the Cup final. Westport conceded a load of points straight off kickoffs and that was the real difference between teams - 12 to 14 points off kickoffs that should have been secured
Jamie Dever was excellent for Westport as were their centres Andrew McAleer and Dwayne Corcoran
Ciaran Gaffney was my MOTM for Wegians. Excellent player

its something i suggested before, with no proof apart from no news re injury.
what i said was, has sean o hagan been stopped by ulster playing for corinthians?
its seems so. he got injured vs Buccs but that was december(?!) and dont think he has done much since.
his tweets are interesting.

Sean O'Hagan ‏@SeanOHagan10 Mar 1
Best of luck to the @CorinthiansRFC team today! Wish I could be out there playing with them. #gohard

Sean O'Hagan ‏@SeanOHagan10 Mar 15
The weather in England is unbelievable! #happyout

last night he tweeted this? a player in recovery wouldnt be usually found on a building site.

Sean O'Hagan ‏@SeanOHagan10 20h
After 5 days of labouring on a work site, and keeping Getjar Limited above the surface, I have earned my first paycheque #delighted

saying that, wouldnt be the first time ulster stopped a player playing to have him fresh for the new season. (paddy jackson with the under 20s)

I can't imagine any of the props being brought in straight from school to be honest. A year in the AIL will toughen them out and see who sinks or swims (it also lets them finish growing) before they'll be brought into the academy.

Just like Walshe and Saba did? oh wait....

Interesting, probably grew up a Munster fan so. Still eligible for under-18 again next year too.. really doubt he ends up at Connacht anytime soon.

To be honest I threw him in more tongue in cheek then anything. Good to know about Trayers and Kelly though.

been a fixture for Leinster under-18 though.. might end up at Connacht down the line but you can hardly call him a Connacht player..

Young Foley is from Skibereen....

The Connacht representatives in Roscrea SCT seem to be...

DAN TRAYERS

An athletic and physically strong line-out operator, Trayers played Senior Cup rugby last year despite only being in fourth year. He has represented the Connacht Schools side at second-row.

MARC KELLY

An abrasive openside wing-forward who is very quick, Kelly was called up to the Ireland U-19s training squad at the start of the year. An excellent line-out jumper, he has also represented Connacht U-19s and the U-18 Schools side. Kelly will captain this year's Senior Cup team.

It kind of slipped under the rader but Galwegians clinched Division 2A today to return to Division 1B which is good news for Connacht.

Important wins for Corinthians and Buccaneers in the race for the play offs to 1A. Sligo also moved further away from the bottom with a good win away to Instonians, so a good week for Connacht rugby all told.

OLBC lost the first game of their round robin but don't think they are equipped to go up to AIL to be honest.
