There is no issue with Zebo's ability. Its the baggage that goes with it that he needs to lose.

Half of Munster's 15 wouldn't make Toulon's 23 and that's the reality now for irish provinces going forward. We're entering an era where the French and English will dominate as they've setup the competition to ensure they do so. I thought Munster did remarkably well to stay with them. But with POC and Coughlan only with limited time left and Botha going Munster are never going to get next to near winning it again for quite some time in my opinion and neither will Leinster or Ulster.

If that's the case for the larger provinces God knows where its going to leave us. The abyss I reckon. Perennial Amlin merchants

I think that is a POC decision that we've seen before that hasn't worked out.

I remember a while back on WoC blog I think were they were criticizing POC saying his mentality is to always go for the jugular even when the jugular wasn't exposed. It's worked for them a lot of times but today it didn't. To be frank I still think Toulon would have won the game. As for the HEC final I genuinely couldn't care less now that Clermont and Munster have being knocked out of the semi's. It's a shame to end the HEC with theoe two teams in the final.

I thought Munster just seemed naive in general, most clearly in the kick to the corner in the last 10, I think that is a POC decision that we've seen before that hasn't worked out. But also a number of other incidents: trying to carry the ball from their own 22 multiple times; loose, high carries which led to knock ons; low percentage passes and wild offloads; trying to prevent the ball coming out as if the ref wouldn't notice for the last penalty was unforgivable and the fact that it was DOC who should have known better was worse.

They were very lucky with Zebo's try as we've seen those not given before. Also in the scrum, Kilcoyne was on the verge of being carded when Haymans started to overplay the collapses and was himself penalised. The one scrum that actually got to the put in (iirc there was only one which is ridiculous) was a massive win for Toulon and if they had managed to get more clean scrums Munster probably would have lost by more.

Munster did have them rattled but they lacked impact sub's to kick it up a level.

Toulon v Saracens final. I don't know who I want to win? Home advantage (even home country advantage) is still key in the latter stages of this competition. Munster did well to hang in there but I knew when I saw Wayne Barnes appointed as the ref they were in trouble as he'd be more inclined to penalise them than some other refs would.

Didn't see it that way. Munster had Toulon badly rattled, the ludicrous decision to kick to the corner at 21-16 instead of taking 3 points, with 10 minutes left and a man in the bin, probably cost them the game.

They gave it a good go to be fair to them but just didn't have enough quality players.

Its an uncertain time for Irish provinces now even the big ones as Toulon and Co are going to dominate this competition for the years ahead.

irish indigenous players in the main aren't good enough to compete with international club teams. Provinces will have to sell their soul to win the Champions Cup

Pretty sure Downey is going to get cited for the tackle on Poolman. It was on the TV at half-time being shown a few times and the Rabo usually doesn't like that sort of bad publicity so might be shamed into doing something. He could be a lose if he does get suspended for Munster.

Munster were superb. Really it was all over early in the 2nd half. Toulouse showed what everyone had known for the past couple of years, that while they have some quality individuals, they aren't a top European side any longer and were bullied up front.

Away to Toulon or Leinster, Munster won't have dominance up front and will we working off scraps. I just don't see them getting any further. Much as I like Ian Keatley, he will struggle to hold things together and make the right decisions when his side are in a tight corner and Zebo aside the backline is functional but limited.

Big win for Munster with one one injury worry in POM who didn't look that bad (could be famous last words though). The good news is that his replacement CJ Stander got MoM. Hopefully Leinster and Ulster can join them in the semis.

Do we have a particularly large toilet? One that doesn't work, preferably?

I'm assuming Conor George will get his own stand named after him for all he's done for Munster Rugby? :P

I think Leinster have already named a urinal after him.
