Maybe partly that, the press release on the rabo page says Munster felt they couldn't compete with other offers from abroad, perhaps it was the length of the contract they couldn't compete with. In fairness to Laulala even though he has his problems and hasn't really fit with what Munster have been trying to do (imo) he played 27/30 games last year and I think 10 this year that's a significant contribution that will be hard to replace.

Its vital to have at least two option in each position for all teams, Henshaw may or may not be Ireland's future 13 but he can't be our only one. I think the next option after Griffin would be Parata which is a big drop experience wise.
Poolman would be in that mix. But we get so many injuries each year we need all of them!
Poolman didn't look too comfortable at centre earlier this year but maybe an extended run would see him improve. atm we need him more on the wing though imo.

Munster afaik have no young lad coming up in the outside centre spot and I while Earls can play there with his form on the wing I'd be loathe to move him back. The thing is with the new rule now being enforced only one of these two can have a NIQ playing there. So unless they find someone with an Irish Granny there could be some serious politicking going on in the next while. Interesting times ahead.
