5 super rugby caps? Wouldn't call that hugely experienced. But if Schmidt wants him he'll probably do the business...

Either they don't rate him and he's too proud to move on, or he's done a Rhys Ruddock on it and turned down a two-year deal because he knows he has options.
If that's the case you wonder why he didn't move this year then? With Horgan retired I thought he'd get a 2 year deal for sure. Its a head scratcher. As for Bent and Denton both of them are meant to be quality. Bent has alot of experience and looks to be a big steal for Leinster. To be frank glad Macken is staying with them I don't rate him highly. As for Sheridan wouldn't be to surprised to see him head this way but I'd give him a 1 year deal, he's been to injury prone for us to carry him unlike Carr..

Fionn's an eegit if that's all they're offering him, seriously wasting his bloody time....
Especially after giving two year deals to these two...
Leinster have also concluded two-year deals with two Irish qualified forwards who will link up with the province this summer; 25-year-old tight-head prop Michael Bent who has signed a deal from Super 15 franchise the Hurricanes and 24-year-old second row Tom Denton who has signed from Leeds Carnegie.
Well put.
Even more pertinently, let's look at rabo stats for players he's in direct competition with:
Dave Kearney, 17 apps (16 starts), 1259 minutes, 2 tries. 2 year deal.
Andrew Conway, 5 apps (3 starts), 285 minutes, no tries. 2 year deal.
Fionn Carr, 17 apps (14 starts), 1076 minutes, 5 tries. 1 year deal.
Either they don't rate him and he's too proud to move on, or he's done a Rhys Ruddock on it and turned down a two-year deal because he knows he has options.

Nothing on O'Shea? Is he still academy or is he being released/going to us I wonder?
Still in the academy (2nd year) I fear.. Very disappointed about Macken and Tom Sexton too.. Eamonn Sheridan is totally free, nonetheless.. David Doyle of leinster, ex U20, 21 years old hooker, might also come...

andress isnt even making bench
tui is irish qual tru grandparent rule but has played for nz maori so most are unsure as to his status re ireland.
Not surprised Andress isn't playing; Exeter have a stack of props and he's leaving.
As for Tui the Maori team doesn't count for anything in terms of international qualification, just ask Ricky Flutey.

Borlase is being released by Munster apparently.
Alot of rumours on the Munster Site that Borlase could be heading to us. Anyone heard anything? To be frank I'd be kind of annoyed if he was. Nothing against him but I'd rather the money had been used to keep Henry F. for another season.
On another note has does anyone know much about Hoani Tui? He's the TH prop for Exeter and is keeping Andress on the bench. Allegedly he's IQ through a grandparent.

On Gleeson, hes a fine player who has been very unlucky with injury during his time with munster and this has curtailed his chances there. munster have had a litiny of players with similar problems over the years, o donnell, o sullivan, fogarty, dineen, dave ryan, darragh hurley, felix to name just a few. it may be that competition for places has been so high over the years that they push too hard or it could be just bad luck but some players have fared far better on the injury thing away from munster.
i hope gleeson is one of them wherever he ends up.
