I wonder would we consider it. I know he is old but he could be a useful signing for 1 year. Especially if we are letting go of one or two hookers as thought.

As an experience head in a young side it would make sense, but given that White, Poolman, George and Dan are here next season we have at most 2 NIQ berths to fill, so I can't see it happening.

That's the problem isn't it? Unlike Leinster can we really afford to keep a talented but injury prone player on the books. It's a serious gamble.

Jordi Murphy has re-signed for Leinster so he won't be coming here. That said Dominic Ryan's contract is meant to be up so who knows maybe he'll show up here.

No objections here. I think Stringer is a great player and would be a great asset for us. Can't understand how Williams is in front of him.

i know ive broght this up before but with the tax rebate in connachts favour here i think the bmanagement could be letting a huge opportunity go a begging here. hes had a huge ipact on sarries, newcastle and now bath in short loan deals. why not connacht?
perhaps, given his obvious leadership/ organisational skills he could be brought in in a player/ defense coach capacity which could be a win- win solution.
it would be a pity to see him retire or go to england on season long loan.

+1

He was quite superb against us at Christmas, and his loan deals last year (Saracens and Newcastle) were unqualified successes. He clearly still has what it takes, maybe the speed over the ground isn't quite what it was but the speed of mind and pass are still there. Imagine being able to bring him on last quarter in big games?

It was an abysmal game alright. I had it on but I was kinda rugbyed out last night so it didn't get my full attention. Dineen is decent but limited, that said Fifita looks to be on the way out so replacing him with Dineen might not be a bad signing. Nagle did ok but Edinburgh were hardly worldbeaters. Can't remember Sheridan to be honest.
