at what home ground would you not hear that. It was played up on the big TV screen and it was clear that Wasps player did not use his arms in the initial tackle and then caught Niyi with a late hand around the neck. to be honest I thought the fans were exactly what fans should be. they support their team with a heavy bias. and they had an absolutely rock solid point in the instance you mention. anyway that's just negative stuff.eezipc wrote:

The crowd did its job and the players feed off that energy...one of the great nights.
My weekend just got better...
It really will go down as one of the great nights in Connacht Rugby, and we have been so lucky the past few years with great nights.
On a negative side, It wasn't a great second half and some of the booing, hehawing and "offside" shouts was a bit embarrassing from the Connacht fans. We are better than that.
However, I agree with what Bundee said to Sky.
Ahh here, get over it, there was very little booing, and Jerome Garces deserved a bit of abuse. As for the hehawing - I hope we never get to a the state were sporting arenas become safe spaces where the thought police ensure nobody says anything offensive to anybody.
And the booing when Niyi clashed heads with the Wasps player. No way that was intentional.
There's no need for that.
marmion was absolutely incredible. how does he manage to bring down men twice his size on such a consistent basis. he had a fantastic game. SOB when he came on was simply brilliant. He is such a pain, he won't go away, he is constantly good. Bundee and Rory have formed a very solid centre partnership in a short space of time. Lots of positives. Some missed tackles need to be addressed but that that's for the glass half empty day. Today is glass half full. Lets enjoy it.

Ideally Wasps and Toulouse draw again, Connacht get 5 pts from Zebre and then beat Toulouse. I think Wasps will top the group though, if Connacht end the pool level on pts with them, Wasps go top because they have the better head to head.

clanman wrote: obviously we go to Toulouse to win but in terms of qualification if Toulouse only win the game against us and don't pick up any TBP's or LBP's in either of their 2 remaining games
and we get the full points against Zebre we go through
think I got that correct.
It depends on the other groups. If Wasps beat Toulouse at home we're basically guaranteed second place(we'd have to lose to Zebre to not get it) but only the 3 best 2nd place teams go through. Usually it's 18 or 19 points to go through, we're on 13 at the minute so if we get 5 against Zebre and even 1 in Toulouse we have a good chance of going through.

Still think it will be hard to qualify in Toulouse. But it doesn't matter. We wrote history in 2016. We've beaten the 3 Irish provinces, the 3 Welsh, Toulouse, Glasgow twice, won the title, and now one of the best team for years in England.
God I remember the defeat in Cavaliere Prato. We've made a GIANT step, it's cristal clear now.
