They're unlikely to call off the dogs for an open training session, in all fairness. And later in the weekend is a bit close to gameday. I'll miss it due to work but it's hardly worth getting too worked up about.

4 pm on a friday to have the training session and season ticket holder get together is an absolute shocker. Do they not realise that most of the ticket holders work. Fecking raging to be honest

This is a mild 'miss' for Connacht. Perhaps a lack of contingency and planning on our part.
We all know what unavoidable means here so maybe it's to be celebrated !
One less game for our boys and our supporters.......we're all still on cloud9 so no big issue.
And last year, I think we lost some players to injury during the friendly stage so perhaps the Gods are with us this time.
Overall, not great for Connacht administration but perhaps OK/no big deal for our players and supporters to have one less friendly.

This sentence appears in that article: "You will have exclusive access to watch the team in a no-holes-barred training session as they compete for a place in the opening game of the season against Glasgow Warriors the following week."


Not sure what a no-holes-barred training session is, but sounds like they're really mixing things up this season! :woohoo: :P :lol:

Glasgow are playing Quins and Gloucester the 2 weekends before we play them. We have one game 3 weeks out. Rubbish as pre-season games are, without them there's a danger of being undercooked.
