Saying all that I'm more than likely going to buy it on impulse in the end!

Speaking of same, anyone got any ideas on what it will look like. Best rumour I heard is a Stade-esque number featuring the colours of every club in Connacht.
every county is what I understood it to be. the person from whom I heard it said it was surprisingly nice, but at that time nothing was set in stone about it although it was being seriously considered. The province usually makes the final call. That was early August.

cheers for that, do you know if its website only or in store too?
i bought the green one friday, and i guess the reason its not on sale is that demand is high, id be p!ssed of if i got the white one and 3 days later down €17.
id also imagine that this is to shift few extra jersey before the heineken cup one.
oh ya forgot to say, isnt it great that we finally have competition, elverys vs connacht store! last year too, it seemed that elverys was a bit cheaper.

Basically it is Connacht Rugby and approved stockists fault that we only get to see a limited range of wares in-store and on-line. BLK won't share the full range with the general public unfortunately, only approved retailers (presume Connacht determine those) get to see that and they decide what they want to carry in-store.
It's an absolutely maddeningly crazy continuous chicken and egg scenario, the store selects a small conservative range of Connacht stuff (to limit risk of overstock, meanwhile filling their boots with Leinster & Munster stuff..) and Connacht supporters pass because Jerseys apart the few other items are boring. And consequently because of poor sales they select an even smaller range the following season...
For the last couple of seasons we were trying to get our hands on the Connacht Contact Top (the one worn by Eric in the attached image). It appears that there's a green round neck pull over top (but Connacht didn't order any for their shop, Elverys neither).
Apparently there's a green Players Travel Jacket and green Hoody due to hit the shops very soon, so if you don't see it in your store ask the store manager to get some or contact Elvery's directly to get them ordering same from BLK, Lifestyle sports.
For those of us outside Ireland, I asked Lovells Rugby (UK) if they planned to get more form the Connacht range and they said it wasn't available, could be true or could be a polite way of saying they don't sell nearly enough to look to stock more...
My feeling is that Merchandising is something that the Connacht Clan should be asked by Connacht Rugby / BLK to provide feedback at the end of every season and in advance of any big rollout of a new range, at the moment it's very much the Mushroom model (feed them sh*t and keep them in the dark)...
I've been hanging tough to buy the black full zip hoody I see the academy lads wearing at the games along with the green/grey/white polo I saw the likes of Clarke and swifty wearing on Facebook etc, I'll be really disappointed if they don't go on general sale!

When the jersey was just about to launch in Elverys, we recieved the planogram for the Connacht wall with CADs of clothes that have not been released alongside the jerseys and included there was a white polo (the one Clarke wore when he was being presented), a tee with some quote on the front of it, and a green and a black hoody. We also have codes for the items on our system. When you have all these it tends to mean that you are going to get it. But we havent and I'd put that down to BLK not delivering seen as we only got the kids away jersey in over the past couple weeks, despite being told we were getting it the on the Tuesday after the launch. It would happen next to never to get hoodys in for a team that is on the main wall.
I can't speak for fact that the buyers ordered the other items because I just stock the shelves (on leave ATM though) but when they go to the effort of making a CAD of the items and plan where it is suppose to go, it's rare we don't get those items.
Would the Planogram be store specific or generic? I'd imagine that buyers determine (with Store Manager) what they'll actually stock based on space/budget they plan to assign to a particular Brand/Sport/Team on a store by store basis...
I'd love to get my hands ona a copy of what the range being offered to buyers is......
