It's not the most exciting shirt ever. But to be honest we've had so many great jersey's lately we're a bit spoiled.

Having said that, I don't think BLK will see too much in the way of sales.

It'll probably be one of those shirts that looks amazing on TV (with all the reflective bits gleaming under the Floodlights).

Me, I'm keeping my money in my pocket until there's a grown up (fatboy) jersey variant...

Now, I'm hardly a frothing at the mouth 'Ra head, but it does strike me as odd that the regiment, which lasted less than 100 years, is referenced - particularly for the spelling and the British Army bit.

I realise where the cannons in Eyre Square are from and understand the role of Clanricarde's men, etc, it just strikes me as an odd choice.

I don't see this as odd at all and in fact quite like it, i'd far prefer it to the Cromwell quote. There is plenty of Connaught Rangers history in the province, the museum in Boyle, the church in Renmore etc..

Yeah we've had 4 or maybe 5 black ones in the last few years. Think it used to be White for a good few years before that though, if memory serves

It's interesting to note how divisive this jersey has been, especially given the motto!

It looks very dull to me, but I'll reserve judgement until I see it up close. I already bought two jerseys this year so I won't be getting it at any rate.

I for one love it and will be buying one and I like the Connacht Rangers motto as well think it makes a lot more sense than To Hell or to Connacht. Will be interesting to see what sales are like.

I really like it, want to see it up close but I'll probably go for that one out of the 3 this year. Swore I'd only get 1 a year from now on,I've a wardrobe full of Connacht Jerseys as it is.

Obviously the All Blacks were outside the remit of that paper

Don't like it to be honest. I can understand the push to bring in some of the original Connacht colours of blue and white but and ALL black jersey? Just don't understand it.

How nerdy is this?

I remember reading about this before, so a quick google search has a paper from US (where else) on Hockey & Football. Half time reading ;)
