Yeah have to agree I think its an attempt to build a 'siege mentality' in the sportsground or whatever but I could have done without it. But its not a breaking point either.

I thought when we saw the jersey last night that maybe it was missing a bit of detail, the green home jersey has a pattern in the colour which is they repeated with various blacks/greys here might have been nicer. Perhaps that might still be the case and isn't clear from the pictures. I don't think its a bad jersey by any means but I had kind of hoped we'd see the black/grey hooped training top as a jersey, and the first two were very nice and detailed without being crazy.

Oh and visually, not a huge fan - looks too much like a Sarries shirt!

It's just awful. I can't stand plain black as it is from a personal point of view. I seriously hope it grows on me but like ummm said I can't see sales going as well as our home and away jerseys did.

Very disappointing they didn't go for the original multi-coloured one they were looking at doing for the 5 counties.

It's not the most exciting shirt ever. But to be honest we've had so many great jersey's lately we're a bit spoiled.

Having said that, I don't think BLK will see too much in the way of sales.

Connacht Rugby to run out in new Heineken Cup strip for 2013/14jersey Hcup

Although some fans were treated to a sneak preview on kit manufacturer BLK’s twitter feed last night, the full strip will be revealed at roughly two minutes to 8pm tonight.

Tonight Connacht Rugby will run out in the all black kit consisting of black jersey with silver trim, black shorts and black socks, with club and manufacturer logos appearing in a reflective silicone gel. The former Connacht Rangers regiments motto “Who Shall Divide Us” appears on the inside neck line of both the playing and replica jerseys representing the spirit and unity of the Connacht team and its supporters.

The jersey will be available in stores across the country and stocked by Connacht Rugby’s retail partner Elverys Sports in the coming weeks. Exact retail dates will be confirmed by BLK in the coming days.

Connacht Rugby and BLK agreed a four year partnership earlier in the year that sees Connacht Rugby players and fans benefit from some of the most technically advanced rugby apparel in the market. In a short space of time the most expansive range of replica fans merchandise has been developed and will be 100% available in stores and online in the coming weeks.

It's not b&w. The Heineken logo on left shoulder is green. According to blk tweet (before it was deleted) the piping on the jersey is silver. I reckon the main body of the jersey is charcoal not black. I wouldn't be surprised if Mazda and Connacht logos were silver as well.

galway (maroon and white) - zebre
ros (blue yellow) toulouse]
letrim (what ever colour they are) toulouse
mayo (red green) zebre
connacht mix saracens

a bit like the lions that they have 4 jerseys, colour of the country! that be cool

It's like they want to save money on printing by avoiding colour!

I think it's been coloured out for a bit of hype lads. I'd imagine the crest will be it's natural colour so that's what is making me skeptical.

I really hope that isn't it otherwise it is the laziest jersey design ever.
