Good point. Once the motorway extends to Tuam, Thomond is only an hour from Mountbellew.

The only big question that occurred to me was where's Joanne Cantwell?

Fncking LOL
It's not five months ago that he confidently predicted that Munster would take none of Connacht's "guff" in Thomand.

We've arrived! How long have we been hearing about Munster front rows being "masters of the dark arts" and exhibiting "guile" and experience. "Sure these decisions always go to the bigger team".
I heard that Eddie said every scrum penalty up to the yellow card should have been against Connacht. And Foley, in his usual charming manner (can you imagine working for that fella?), claimed that the yellow card should have been a penalty against Connacht. So that's all bases covered lads.
I won't pretend to have a clue clue what's going on in the front row (I'm not sure that anybody does); but Connacht clearly shunted Munster off every scrum (with one exception that I can think of half way through the second half) all day long. They've been doing this all season.
And, as others have pointed out....there was 21 points in it at the end...Munster didn't score for over 50 minutes playing with 15 men. It's hardly grounds to bring a lap top into a press conference (where were the Irish media on that one by the way?).
If Eddie had his way he'd be finishing up a third mediocre season with Connacht and preparing to move on to a real job at Munster.
I didn't see Against the Head, but it sounds like Gavin was well advised to stay above the fray; and I don't think it's fair to judge his abilities as a sponsorship manager on his performances as a pundit. He's not really there to represent Connacht.
(That reminds me of that time that Dunphy put together a highlights reel of Arsene Wenger looking like the Minister for Funny walks; and played it without giving Liam Brady (who worked for Arsenal at the time) a heads up. Brady nearly walked out of the Studio).

Gavin duffy is not nearly good enough at present to represent Conancht in the media, very weak and docile, he doesn't extol Connachts achievements or strongly promote lams perspective on new stadium etc, he lets that heel presenter away with murder. He should have ripped into the biased o sullivans non factual analysis.
I would worry a lot if gavin is involved in procuring sponsorship ,he seems to lacks real gravitas and charisma to sell us, I hope im wrong.
We need sharks promoting us on the airwaves.

Great article from Murray Kinsella again.
Great piece, he doesn't miss anything. I liked that he highlighted Marmion's play ahead of the ball there, he's been doing that since at least Toulouse. I know a lot of Leinster fans would like to see Cooney leapfrog Marmion for an Ireland spot but for me Marmion's still our number one by a long shot.

To which Matt Cooper responded "if they let you in".
How should we mark this occasion?
A selfies with Franno in the background thread? A petition to have Franno disbanded? Distribute Neil Francis Masks (a la Being John Malkovich)?

Yeah, was going to say forget about worrying Pat was going to leave us to replace Schmidt. He's leaving to replace Enda. Could use a real Connachtman as Taoiseach.
