Would love to see an analysis of Sean O'Brien as well. He is looking so gooooood. Never mind how Marmion is responding to this fast rate of play. And then our two wingers Denis Buckley and Finlay Bealham. What they do is simply not proper for front row players.connemara man wrote: Bundee analysis

Good stuff. I hadn't spotted his clever evasive manoeuvres to shake off the attentions of the doctor.

Interesting article from Buckley, defends the Connacht perspective on the scrum against Munster and outlines all he is doing to get into the Ireland squad (not that he should have to!!)

"Ian Madigan has admitted that had an Irish province offered him a contract before he decided on a move to Bordeaux Begles last December, he would have considered staying in Ireland.
'when you see the quality brand of rugby that Connacht are playing I'd say to myself, 'Jesus, it'd be brilliant to be part of that side'."
I know he divides opinion but I would have loved to see Madigan come to Connacht. I assume we had our eye on Boshoff for a while, hence the zero interest?
Something about that seems strange to me. If that's the case, then why the hell didn't Munster go for him?

I think its very very sad for Munster and Munster supporters that so many of their coaches and representatives in the media are sticking their heads in the ground and ignoring how badly they were outplayed. They've done this multiple times in the last few years and assume that they can 'get back to traditional values' if they wish it hard enough. They're not capable of dominating any facet of play right now - scrum, lineout, rucks, all second best against most of the league.
Old school reductive rugby can be successful if you have the best players but apart perhaps from O'Mahoney, Munster don't have a single forward who could be considered first choice for Ireland, and would not be allowed within an asses roar of any other six nations squad bar Scotland or Italy, and only because of the lack of depth those two possess.
If this continues Munster are going to be in a horrible position in another year or two,
This does not mean to sound patronising but maybe this defeat by Connacht will waken up everyone in Munster that things are not what they used to be. They need a major overhaul and instead of making excuses they need to get their heads together and sort this mess out. Most "pundits" have spoken about the lack of passion in the Munster team last week. Well that passion has been missing for a long time. The passion will return when the belief returns. The belief will only return when they get better players and coaches.
Nobody likes to see how far backwards Munster have gone. It's not so long ago that it was common in Galway/Mayo etc for people to be wearing Munster jerseys instead of the Connacht ones. Most of us have a slight "gra" for Munster and I personally would love to see them back up at the top of European rugby again.

I have no doubts that Robbie will be successful at Leinster as the style of play ingrained in him by joe is very much the same style that the current Leinster team play. As said earlier the muldowney exit is probably the biggest worry. Both Marshall and roux are very injury prone. I wonder how a dillane/Sean O'Brien combo would work for next year.

He was been advised to play in a certain way as a number 12, and then expected to switch back to how Connacht play. It would be difficult for most players, but considering how little he had played for Connacht earlier on this season, I imagine it was more difficult than usual
I've been very happy with Robbie since he has come back. His head seems to very much grounded in what Connacht are doing, and he isn;t looking ahead to his lucrative move to Dublin

Still, I wished he had stayed, or would love him to tell Leinster to go and jump!!
But he is not the be all and end all. Lam has preached it is all about the team and organisation and the evidence is there for us all to see.
If anything, I fear Henshaw will slow down his development going forward and his Irish place may come at risk.
There is a lot of talent coming through and i wouldn't be surprised to see him impacted.
A simple example might be Aki!!
