Did not apply myself but plenty of mates did. No joy for the majority.
Seems to be similar to mates who applied for Commonwealth Games tickets in Glasgow. You either got none or loads.
Anyways, will start getting mates who work in The City to start asking around as plenty of banks in UK are sponsors.
Good luck to everyone else who applied.

As much as I'd like to do all the games like I did in France (for half the price and better seats), half the games will be in half full stadiums (Ireland-Canada in Millennium and Ireland-Romania at Wembley for definite).

Plan is to get the ferry over, spend the weekend of the France game in Cardiff, then hit off randomly driving around Wales and England and make it back to Cardiff for the following weekend.

The cynic in me says that means the category D tickets were oversubscribed in every game, because they're the only ones at a reasonable price, and also because there's probably about 100 of them at each match.

Ireland v Romania - cheapest ticket available = £50
The RFU can kiss my pale one with their exploitation and I'll save the money to follow Connacht (Pro12 will be running concurrently) and put some towards Japan.
I mean I get the whole supply and demand argument and everyone knows we'd fill all of their stadiums twice over but surely the difference in population size would mean we should be treated the same price-wise as the French (who aren't too shabby for travelling in numbers)?

Basically whatever happens I'll be angry about something.

Irish Rugby Supporters Club Web Forum Administrator applies for Bankruptcy in US
A man only known as Pinky in the dark world of Internet Forum administrating, has today applied for Bankruptcy in a US Court, after successfully winning the ballot for tickets to every match in Rugby World Cup in England next September
"I dont know what came over me. I mean, 2 tickets for Japan versus the US. What was I thinking? Did I expect to see a re-enactment of Pearl Harbour? No! Did a part of me hope I'd see it? Damn straight.
"I checked my emails the day of the ballot announcement, hoping for tickets to three or four Irish games. Thats it. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine having to pay £300 for 6 premium tickets to Georgia vs Tonga.
"It would have been some session though"
While Pinky has forfeited his tickets, with his refusal to pay, he is still hoping to get to enjoy some of the live action in England
