With the renewal window already closed, wouldn't that suggest that a third of last years ST holders are at the very least considering not renewing? Surely anything over 4k is very optimistic.

Liam Tolland has written a nice article in the Irish Times today. He claims that there are 3,500 Season Tickets sold already

A barometer of success is pre-sales for season 2012/13 which (before last weekend) stood at 3,500, with the Shed first to sell out. As it has purpose-built foundations there are plans to build a 2,500-seated upper-tier to the shed.

Amazing if true. I'm trying to find out off of the branch, what the real figures are

with regard to the HC. Ok the numbers for the last two games were poor but you have to remember how poor a run Connacht were on at the time. Really for Gloucester both sides were already out of the competition. By the time Harlequins came around we'd 14/15 lost on the spin.

Also 30 euro (33 euro for ticketmaster) is dear especially for anyone behind the posts, should be 25 euro this season and make up the money when you get people in the ground.

Any chance the Clan committee could identify who the elusive member is with such a great responsibility to liaise with the "Branch" We could direct our views, comments and suggestions directly to them.

Would not be hard to set up a "Committee" user where they could feed updates back to us.

Good question, everyone on here know how to get in contact with them..???

They are all valid viewpoints and should be put to the branch either directly or via the Clan committee. I would presume that this is precisely one of the functions of the Supporters Club, i.e. to feedback issues/concerns and suggestions from it's membership...

The branch sent me my ticket for the toulouse game by post but refused to post them for any other game. They also said that there would be no collection point available at the ground on the day of matches. As it turned out you could pay at the gate on all other occasions but i wasnt to know that at the time so they simply directed me to ticketmaster instead of dealing with me themselves.

Funk it, i wasnt taking u seriously on the donie shine thing, no worries.

It's not a small thing at all. If Connacht are serious about representing the whole province they need to understand what that means in every way possible. Anyone who talked to me like that on the phone would quickly understand my opinion on good public relations.

The STs are something the branch are 100% in charge of and they can cancel lost tickets or whatever.

That said, you shouldn't have to beg. If you agree to accept that tickets may be lost in the post then that's entirely your right and the branch should post them out with as little delay as possible.

I can see where your coming from Ummm, but this was at least a week before the trip and to be honest most of my gripe was with the fact that when i said it was a 4 hour round trip and that we couldn't get to the office the answer i got was "well nobody else has complained"

I know this is a small thing, but its this type of situation that could turn someone outside Galway off buying a ST or even attending at all.

Would be nice if one of the guys threw in some of the feedback to the branch from the likes of Merchantdon who are not Galway locals. Not as a complaint but just so the branch has some experiences of fans outside the Galway area so if they are thinking of packages etc they see the practicalities/problems that fans face.

There seem to be some good ideas been thrown out here over the past few pages. We mightn't agree with them all, but I do hope that the branch are been made aware of them, and can decide which, if any are viable options.

We probably met on the Toulouse trip, Airport, plane, hotel, Trevor's, match, who knows.

I travel from Drogheda, can take me 3 hours there and another 3 back either that night but more often than not the next morning so can not understand someone's issue with time if having to travel from Athlone or points West of that. Cost is a different matter in the current times. Maybe this site could be used to let supporters traveling from the same area know who else is traveling. If a car with 2 is traveling from Athlone, surely they could pick up 2 in Loughrea for example.

I have had similar issues with the branch over tickets. Also have issue with the fact that the Branch does not get any tickets for the away Pro 12 games. Going to Glasgow for Sat match and had to buy tickets from their website so no idea if I will be any where near any other supporters traveling.

Surely the Branch has to get tickets for the Non team officials, why not start off by getting a few
extra which can be pre booked and paid for so there is no cost to the branch, see how that goes and if it works, increase the number.

As a season ticket holder who travels from Leitrim, i can offer some of my own insights into what's been discussed here and would agree with Fourdogs, everything that has been mentioned has merit.

Lets start, in relation to buses, whilst they might suit some and i wouldn't knock the idea they wouldn't be for me. I would much prefer to see overnight hotel deals for some games, a hotel + ticket deals for non ST's and hotel only for ST holders.

I would have been one of the biggest supports for moving some games around the province BUT the game in Athlone last year was a disaster! so maybe something with the A's\B&I but not the first team.

As a travelling supporter I have no problem with travel, traffic, prices, the ground etc.. my biggest problem last year was with the branch itself. Having spent nearly €700 on the trip to Toulouse, when we phoned the branch to get tickets we were told we'd have to call into the office to collect them! We were told they couldn't be posted because they "didn't trust the post" they had no problem with the post for the season ticket?? I even offered to pay extra to cover registered post! We got the same story when we looked to buy one of the large flags! After explaining that a 4 hour round trip to collect tickets was not an option and some choice words had they eventually posted the tickets.

This may only seem like a small thing but if don't provision for posting tickets\merchandise to people who don't live in Galway then they may throw there hat at increasing numbers from outside the city! This type of thing will turn some people right off.
