If you're not capable of expressing how you feel about something without resorting to swearing then that's your issue. You might not be aware that it offends others and that children also frequent this forum but it does and they do.

if he went to leinster, i would think fitzgeralds injury problems are not going away?

this is hard to say, but i thought robbie was a bit mad signing with us for 3 years. i admire and welcome the loyalty, but he could be a 100 cap international..and I dare say the white hot daily environments at munster or leinster are better.

hard to say, but being realistic also.

He's only 20, and the bottom line is that he has a contract with Connacht until 2016, so he'll only be 22 if he does decide to move on at that point.

If the IRFU had put him on a central contact they could probably ask him to go where they want. But he's a Connacht employee, and neither Pat, Joe or the IRFU can force a move under law.

With regards to his contract, it's a no-brainer. He's only twenty a kid, he's guaranteed game time, and also the space to make mistakes, and learn to deal with them. At Leinster the pressure to win trophies would mean that one or two mistake, a week or two under the weather and he could lose his place and be on the bench for six months, or be a B&I Cup squad player ....

Despite what the meeja hoors say, Robbie and Robbie alone is in control of his own destiny/future...

I know people are (rightly) emotional about the subject, but the kind of language being used in the last few posts is simply not acceptable here and it is not to continue. Understood?

Looks like Peter Reilly and Steve Macauley might be going to new Zealand

You have anymore info? I'm assuming this is to get experience? Reilly was put down as a hooker during the last Eagles game does anyone know if he's being converted?

He has a three year contract. Let him honour it.
How are Connacht ever going to progress, if they're not even allowed to keep players to their contracts.
3 to 5 years of decent funding, and no raping of our resources, we help the Ireland a lot more in the long term, than taking our best players off of us, and telling them to sit on the bench each week with their new team

Imagine a Connacht team in 5 years, if we keep our best players. Fan numbers will grow

Rumour is that Payne rather than henshaw will be rocking up in d4. Henshaw is likely to be with us til 2017 when he finishes his degree, at which point half the teams in Europe will want him.

This is Fitzgerald flying a kite on the orders of his masters Browne and Wrigglesworth. In effect the quid pro quo for our new CEO and for the privilege of being funded is that Robbie slips into O'Driscoll's boots at 13 for Leinster next season.

No doubt Leinster will fillet us for Marmion too to replace Reddan/Boss!

Well the Henshaw to Leinster rumours aren't going away anyway.

certainly not. www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/irfu-pres...ists-on-it-1.1756149

Surely they IRFU can't simply cancel a contract...

Kind of out of left field but trying to go after Jordan Coghlan and moving him back to his original position might be a good move.. he has looked okay at 12 for Leinster.. progress has been stalled somewhat due to injury.

WTF... Makes a lot of sense (samoan/allblack/chiefs axis). No spring chicken but if good enough for Dave Rennie then definitely good enough for us for a couple of seasons.

Started first 3 games came on in second 3 as sub. Kept out by Gareth Anscombe !!

Wouldn't be worried about this. Anscombe is class and has been taking over a lot of the kicking duties as Cruden has been a bit shaky from the tee.

Rael is being let go

He is? Shame. I understand the reasoning Heffernan has tied down the third spot in the Hooker category so he clears up a space. Hopefully he can find another club as the boy has talent.
