Gannon is probably finished come end of season as well, he didn't come on last week and Qualter makes the squad ahead of him.

Have to say I'm surprised I thought he's done well this season and he's versatile as well. I still remember him and Farley together in the second row, they were imperious. I think we should keep him he's a good squad player and puts in a decent shift when asked.

O Donoghue hardly played for Wasps either last season, even though they were down to the bare bones. He's no good. Very fond of the gargle

BTW, Gannon is probably finished come end of season as well, he didn't come on last week and Qualter makes the squad ahead of him.

I have it on very good authority that the man is a waster and Leinster did all they could to get rid of him as quick as they could. He went to Wasps mid-season iirc

Change to Connacht HEC squad: in Daniel Qualter; out Mark McCrea.

I think this pretty much confirms that McCrea is gone.

If it was a like for like swap I'd agree, but with so many injuries in the pack it makes sense to add an additional forward at the expense of a back.

But, you're right, this shows where he is in the backs pecking order, which is right down the bottom. Doesn't look positive for him.

Likewise TJ Anderson, who is fit but sees Qualter in ahead of him.

I think this pretty much confirms that McCrea is gone. Ross is negotiating with the IRFU at the moment so there's lots of rumours flying about. Chances of him leaving Leinster are slim because apparently he's very happy there, but its down to the IRFU not Leinster as he's on a central contract so he's negotiating with them. There's rumours of him going to France but like I said you always hear that from a player when there in negotiations.

IRFU will dictate he goes to Munster, because they won't want Botha kept

That will mean Ross and Bent starting at 2 different provinces. It will also allow Hagan and the likes of Furlong and Moore to push up the ladder.

Munster could be getting Mike Ross, that's enough IRFU intervention for 1 season

If they're going to sanction a move it has a higher chance of being to a Heineken Cup team rather than an Amlin one.

Because Munster have Sherry and Varley who are both on the Irish radar, with Henry, Rael, Scannell and Casey cominh through.

IRFU will never in a million years sanction a move to Munster, and he wouldn't be the outright no1 choice because Munster have high hopes for Sherry.

It's a no from me to Toner anyway, for such a big lad he has no power which is the main reason he hasn't broken into the Leinster team. We have better options here already with Kearney, Browne (who's best position is 6 I reckon) Gannon, and hopefully Dave Nolan next season if his injury clears up

The reason he wants out of Leinster is to enhance his international career by being first choice

I think we'll get him, unless Leicester offer him a bundle of money and he decided it's worth putting his international career on hold for. Which I can't see happening

His international career will suffer hugely if he is not in Ireland.Even if he was no1 Hooker at Leicester he probably would not even make Irelands bench.
Leinster are well covered with Strauss, Tom Sexton and Dundon so hopefully he makes the right decision to go back west !!!
