Anyone seen Tim Visser's brother Sep play?

Okay, but he only got a contract because of his brother, he's NIQ also (Dutch International)...

Apparently he can play anywhere across the backrow but he is primarily a 7. To be frank he's to small to be a 6 or 8 at Rabo level. That said he's in the same position Faloon was in last year before moving to Connacht. Could lightning have struck twice?

Id go as far as saying that we need another specialist 7. Faloon was extremely important to team this season and has been missed esp with joc also injured. With joc retired its vital imo that another 7 is brought in to share load. Coneely may become that player in time but we need a proven player for september. We have 2 for 6 and 8. Problem is that iq 7s are as rare as iq ths. There is only 1 potentially available and thats gilsenan. He still represents some risk but has huge potential. Being a mullingar man as opposed to a d4 head galway may appeal .
Other possibility is that white being 1 yr off iq may be reclassified as a project freeing up a niq spot. Budget comes into play then and we may be forced to look in bargain bin for 1yr at least.

That's why I'm surprised we didn't make a serious bid for Ali Birch. I'm sure the branch are aware of this and someone will be coming in.

We really need another backrower. I wonder if Lam or the Connacht branch have identified a IQ backrower from the premiership like they did with Muldowney?

I knew Mujati was heading off, didn't realise Tonga'uiha was off there too. Bah. Is Sinoti nailed on, then? We do seem to have more need elsewhere - plenty of backs with lots to prove next season, and hopefully a few more coming through from the academy too

The Saints have announced the list of departures and there's nobody really worth taking

If Pat have used his Somoan origins and coaching past to make Sinoti come, it's good news overall. Look at this video, away match for Zebre, at 1:18:45 (62min 45sec of the match)
And 1:29:30 ( 72:25 of the match)

Lam did spend three weeks in the UK before coming west, so here's hoping he's already identified some talent to come over. I wouldn't complain if he raided his old club Saints for Tonga'uiha wouldn't be a bad start

While I'm happy Lam is taking over next year I hope this isn't a return to the days of averagely capable PI players filling our squad. Razor, George and to a lesser extent Henry have been great for us, but the rest.... meh.
