Fantastic player and I wish him the best. Really fitted into the way Lam wanted to play.

Huge loss for us, but not unexpected. He put in great work for us, and can't begrudge him the move at all.

If not, should Connacht offer him pay per play contract. I thought he was impressive with his small roll v Grenoble. Injury free I think he at least another 2 seasons in him.

Yes he was superb, would love to see him stay but he may want to leave for game time

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

Ryan is going no where. He will be Leinster's Paul O'Connell in the next 2-3 years.

Class act.

James Ryan, was man of the match a few times in the 6 nations, looked to have scope build in a big 2nd row, 6ft 8 now and 108kg. Doubt that Leinster will let him go easily currently in the Sub-academy.

Signing Chris Farrell has implications for Robb and Ronaldson primarily I would think.

I am not sure we need a centre. Is he considerably better than what we have already? I honestly don't know enough about him. But if he is, then we should be aggressive and enquire. I would back us to now compete against the other provinces for these kinds of singings.

I agree that a number 8 and a second row are probably more urgent requirements. We will have Champions cup and do risk second season type syndrome as everyone will be gunning for us next season.

Ben Marshall hasn't shown us much has he? Same for some of the other academy locks.

So it leaves us Roux and Browne....

Such a shame Craig Clarke retired. Imagine him still there now!!!

The two clubs would have a decent rapport having organised a preseason match and yes the Aly muldowny deal would probably only help that relationship. Also the fact that we play a similar type of game to Grenoble which has obviously suited him and helped him to show off his talent may also entice him to come West. Munster also signed Sammy Arnold who by all accounts is a serious talent so like signing Farrell would only block his development.

Nice swap for Aly. Surely playing with Bundee would be better than playing with Saili or from the bench in Ulster if he wants to play for Ireland? ?

I still think Eamon Sheridan could do a decent back-up job in the centre for us. I understand that he has a relegation get-out clause in his contract at Oyonnax. Someone should take a look at him...

He scored a good try on Friday. He may not be that worried especially with Jakes injury tendencies.

Careful Now wrote: Great news about Heenan and Ronaldson, I heard that Chris Farrell is delaying on signing a new contract at Grenoble with a view to moving home to probably further his chances of playing for Ireland. Ulster and Munster are interested but I would argue that Connacht could get him ahead of those two considering Ulster are already stacked in the midfield and Munster may not even have champions cup next season. I reckon he'd be a decent replacement for Henshaw although he probably wouldn't be cheap and he can't cover fullback like henshaw so that'd mean we'd still have to sign another player

That would be amazing, where did you hear that?
