Robb had a lot of praise for our Academy in last week's press conference so it could well be that some of his ex academy mates are taking note!

It was probably McCaw. He was in Dublin earlier in the week. Fair play to Pat if he's managed to sign him up Not sure if he can play second row though

It's a strange old competition because the franchise teams qualify for the top tier of the tournament proper anyway so the Lions, etc. have literally nothing to play for in the qualification rounds. Good that he is getting game time at least. Only thing is if Elton Jantjies is wanted by the Springboks (almost certain), will the Lions want to hold on to Marnitz til October to defend their Currie Cup title?

Second Lions game was a 10 try rout of the Namibian team in this competition. Boshoff played an hour and converted 6 of 8 tries scored while he was on the field.
