Two pieces of class from Mul in the first half which really stood out for me. The way he let the Munster player rip him on the touchline so we had the throw at a vital time when we were under huge pressure was too good. A little later on the hands he showed going forward when out wide, it was just the timing of the pass, nothing revolutionary, just basic skills carried out to perfection under pressure.
The bit I think I enjoyed the most was the way the likes of Carty, Healy and Blade where going round with the guys who played with just as much of a smile on their faces.

Has to be said when we were 13 points down after 13 minutes of the first half, I was not a happy bunny about our decision having won the toss to play into the storm. After a very ropey first twenty where I really felt we started badly and played far too much risky rugby in our 22, the feeling of déjà vu was almost overwhelming that we were going to blow the Munster game again in the first half. But we steadily settled into a rhythm and took a hold of the game for pretty much all but the last five minutes.
Ronaldson delivered in spades, added the required physicality at ten and mixed his ga!e up well. Carried hard, put the ball behind the Munster defence and generally kept them guessing as to what to expect next. Exquisite poise and execution of the delay and chip for Marmion's try, great gather and feed by Robbie also.
Pack were outstanding as the game wore on, really laid the platform for the win. Everyone really contributed something to the effort. Massive hits, players working hard to get on the ball, accuracy and serious discipline. Backs get the glory tonight but the pack made it happen. Roux was excellent again, the change in him under Dan & Pat is immense, easily playing his best rugby since arriving in Ireland. Really hope he appreciates why when his Leinster contract expires next summer. We have Swifty's replacement identified now.

Brilliant result ! huge credit to team to fight back in style from 13 points down, delighted COYBIG! we're going win the league :silly: .
Even our bench is starting to look pretty darn tasty, with nathan white and a couple of others on injury list to come back yet.

The Ronaldson gamble certainly paid off even though i was for retaining Carty.

Firstly, what a game. What a comeback, bloody brilliant.
I know a lot of people will laugh about the above incident, but don't underestimate the importance of it.
Up to this point the Munster line was in a permanent state of offside, so much so we found it very difficult to make yards into the rain and wind. While this cheering was happening Muldoon went to the ref and said something on the lines of: 'look at their reaction, you must be the only person that can't see them being offside'. He refereed it a lot better after that.
Which brings me to another point: Referee Management. I know Paul O'Connell is outstanding at it, be we cannot continue to allow the opposition have free access to the ref. If given a chance Paul will always try and color the ref's opinion as to what is happening . After one clearing kick from our 22, Paul chatted with him all the way to the linout, about 35-40 meters, then had a 60second chat while someone received attention. Nobody from the Connacht team approached.
Finally, holding out to deny them at the end was a massive achievement. 10 mins of backs to the wall defending your line against Munster of all teams. Brilliant stuff.

The winning of that game was the time from when they went 13-0 up and halftime. With the wind that was out there we were always going to see more ball in the second half, only question was whether we were still going to be in the game or not. Well done to the lads for really digging in and making sure that we were in touching distance when the wind hit our back.
No one had a bad game for Connacht out there, but seeing Henshaw get motm is a bit much for me- when the weather is that bad it's the guys with low numbers on their back that win you the games, anyone from 4-6 for me. With Holland beside him POC was basically a one man second row, but even taking that into account our second row were totally dominant and when the weather is bad there is no better player to have in Ireland than Muldoon. If rugby was played solely in the driving wind and rain Mul would have 100 caps for Ireland

Leader's conversion was key, there's probably no stopping Munster at the end if a converted try would have won it for them.
Finally got the stream going just as Keatley was sending over his kick to make it 0-13, didn't have much hope at that point but they did well to get a toehold in the game and keep it close at half time despite Aki's penalty on Zebo. They were the better team in the second half and dominated possession.
Just a fantastic display really. Over the fecking moon. Its about the mid-80's since I've seen us play that well against a well packed Irish international provincial side. I didn't think we had a hope of winning beforehand.
Definitely a case of 1 point dropped as opposed to 4 gained. We had 20 minutes to get the bonus point and we didn't.
Only messing, absolutely ecstatic with that result. In all my time supporting Connacht easily the most enjoyable win. You know its special when the outlaw is in positive form
The first few minutes were a disaster but we gradually worked our way into the game and really it was disappointing to go in 9 down at half time despite the wind. Getting the try at the start of the 2nd half was huge and after that we had the momentum and Munster didn't really get a look in until right at the death.
You have to hand it to every player, that game confirmed that our options at centre are top quality. Robbie Henshaw delivered, Bundee was superb, Dannie Poolman, Mils, lovely chip from Ronaldson for the try, crucially we tore into Munster at the breakdown after the first few minutes, it was great to see. Lineout bar one throw was superb and is now starting to function as we need it to. George when he came on had 3 or 4 Munster lads hanging off him at stages while he piled forward, Quinn Roux powering through on Zebo was fantastic. Aly Muldowney has had a mixed bag at Connacht but got through a lot of work tonight
I'm so proud of the raw aggression that was in the Connacht team today and crucially it was disciplined.
I'm sure there'll be plenty of bull written about Connacht winning in the rain and wind and rubbish like its hard to win there in difficult conditions but anyone who says that is completely ignorant, Connacht were not going to bend over and kneel down to Munster tonight like we have so many times in the past, even at the end when a try seemed inevitable we were going to die on our feet before letting them in.
Also the cheer for approximately 30-40 seconds after Connacht were finally awarded a penalty during the first half after Munster had got away with it on a few occasions prior to that was hilarious. I could see Paul O'Connell looking into the crowd thinking these are demented.
A win over Munster is very special and a win over a virtually full strength team even better.
I hope everyone involves in the Connacht setup enjoys tonight as its well earned and get back in a few days refocused for backing up this victory with another win at home to Edinburgh in a crucial 8 pointer.
Now to go off and have some fun slagging some of my Munster supporting Connacht mates. This one is long overdue.
