Time to get that train back on track this week and we will ! Love the "cunning plan" theory. It might actually just work.

Some interesting stats here.

www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-...s-pro12-far-11876833

Despite our poor start to the season, Bundee is joint top for carries, equal third for defenders beaten (Matt is equal 2nd, Niyi is equal 7th) and also features in the offloads table.

It's all a 'cunning plan' to give Toulouse a false sense of security for the opening game in Europe.

I'm not one for over exaggerating or getting carried away with results or performances early in the season but serous questions have to be asked of the connacht organisation after this start.

Recruitment has been below par but there may be reasons behind the scenes for this so it is difficult to be too hard on them in this department.

Basic handling skills have been terrible since we came back but such a short pre season is a mitigating reason for this.

Lack of physical conditioning is stark and this I don't think there is any excuse for. To be pulling up with cramp 50 mins in like adeolokun was or not being able to get up off the ground after a ruck, not be able to get to rucks to clear them out, not be able to chase back to defend when we turnover ball is unacceptable imo.

It is our first time being in this position and again this is a mitigating reason for this lack of conditioning but I still think questions need to be asked of the organisation as to why this was allowed to happen.

It will come together in the next month or so but our top 6 could be gone by then. Giving the ospreys a try bonus and not even picking up a losing bonus here could be all the difference. We have to be more professional in our approach in the next off season imo. I think some of the staff (and players probably) have rested on their laurels this summer.

Excellent article (in Sportsjoe of all places) by Dion Fanning on Bundee.

Interesting that his family have moved to Galway over the summer. I hope they enjoy it there.

Yeah spotted this last night in my twitter feed and was pleasantly surprised for a joe.ie piece. In fairness, they seem to be poaching some experienced sports writers from other outlets to improve the quality.

Bundee has the family over with him alright, which is great. He even managed to get motorpark as his car sponsor, and got two cars out of them! Fingers crossed the family loves it here, and beg him to extend his contract!
