2. Hope the lads weren't in Connacht gear. Doesn't seem like they were. The person who made the video had a severe case of the shakes.
3. Where does Robbie park (visit would be welcome). Happened in NUIG I believe.

Judging by the comments, the majority of people seem to be backing the players.

I heard about this last week, and the jist I got was the gardai had been approached first, and said that they could try and get a warrant but what they've found in the past is that by the time the warrant is received, the item has generally been sold on already. I also heard that for a finish the laptop was handed over, they shook hands and that was the end of it. The video is pretty grainy/shaky, but it does seem like it got a bit heated alright. So, perhaps not the wisest move ever, but I wouldn't be too quick to criticize Robbie or the lads for standing up for themselves/each other. People can decide for themselves whether they think the guy who had the laptop had bought it in good faith from the thief, or if he had been involved in the theft himself. It seems nobody will ever know for sure, so a line should be drawn under it, and we move on to focus on arguably the biggest game in the provinces history.

Well done Robbie, Bundee and any/all others that did the business here. Proud.
I am shocked that you think we have a functioning Police force capable of going to the McDonagh house and retrieving the laptop.
You are most likely a troll.

Also, I wonder if they had known that they were going to a McDonagh house, would they have actually gone there?

I'm glad they didn't lie down and take it like the rest of us are expected to do. I wish the community in question had to deal with that more frequently.
"young kids who idolize them"..."They deserve significant sanctions"..."I am not happy with their representation"...."a value and a message to the younger generation"..."All players involved should be heavily disciplined"...."to provide a thuggery viewpoint to our children"...."a gang show up in front of a house to enact their justice "
I have zero interest in engaging with you on this, because I'm pretty sure I've seen where that leads on another forum, but maybe consider that you don't actually own the players and that if they want to go ask for stolen property to be returned in their own time you have no right to demand that their employer discipline them.

Checked your reference. Couldn't find it? If I caused offence I do apologize but I can't find the reference.sea_point wrote:

Sure sit them down and explain what could have happened and why they shouldn't have done it but I'd say they have got that message already now.
Dobby, speaking of Offence and Discipline, you were asked previously by Mod's to mind your language on here, with that in mind you need to amend the last line of your post #44379 .
That reference is just not acceptable on here...!
Found the reference you refer to. Having a gang show up in front of a house to enact their justice and that gang being Connacht rugby players doesn't say much. I hope pat provides the necessary penalties.
