Soccer in Sligo town, GAA everywhere South of that. But yes, not Rugby.

Agree. It's a strange comment to make. In Mayo, GAA always comes first. No questions asked.
Galway has the football & hurling to contend with.
Roscommon is also a very proud footballing county.
I'd say soccer is the main sport in Sligo.
Leitrim, again they love their GAA.

Agreed, reminds me of the time my car got broken into in Mervue a few years ago. The whole inside of the car was destroyed. The Gardai actually brought the young lads home to their parents and I had to walk home.
