Now on the other hand don't give me that horsehit of 'aren't you lucky to get a ticket'. I bloody deserve one, end of, and every Clan member deserves to pick their usual spot. For those who have said they are just happy to have a ticket at all maybe they would kindly offer a swap to others if not that bothered.
And dya what, I'm not going to the game but you can be sure the people that get my tickets will deserve them because in life as in sport we all know we don't always get what we deserve but every little helps!

pinky wrote: Probably not kermis, but from what I can gather from the announcement on the Warriors website, the Glasgow sales were just via a hidden link that they asked the recipients not to share. There's a very good chance that once your STHs and regulars are sorted out, someone will share the link and eventually it'll go viral and people over here will be dipping into the away allocation.
I could be wrong about that of course. I'm not exactly sure how the system operated for away fans. Were ye limited in how many tickets ye could buy and did ye need to identify yourselves as season ticket holders somehow? Or was it pretty much open season once you had the right link?
Not asking you to share the link. Please don't share the link. There'd be war
I've not shared the link for the same reasons you don't want me to. We were in similar position last year especially v Ulster. All the "usual" home support should get sorted first imo.
We got emailed a link and had to submit a "password" which identified us as the away allocation. There wasn't much personal about it. Glasgow have basically used their database to give us a link to use on tickets.ie.
There were no restrictions on numbers but I suspect that was set by Glasgow. I got our groups (including Connacht fans) in one transaction because it was easier.
If it helps if we got a home semi STHs were guaranteed their own seat and would have had first come, first serve to extra tickets before the public sale which would in effect have been any returns.
Given our recent history we have restricted the number of STHs available partly to account for any possible play off game.
For our final in Dublin and Belfast we had the same potential scramble- especially last year when numbers are less iirc. Sent a link and asked not to pass it on so that as many of our supporters could go.
I presume there's some sort of data protection issue to do anything more specific when each club uses a different system in the first place?
Welcome to the play off scrambles game! You guys are now fully paid up members!

I'm not so sure about that. Yea but I doubt there will be 2k worth.

Some of us are still standing in the pretty much the same spot on the Clan as we were getting pelted with driving rain 10 at years ago.eezipc wrote: I remember back in the days before the Clan stand. Leinster were able to guarantee all season ticket holders their exact seat for the the semi, while also allowing them to purchase extra tickets if they so desired.
That wouldn't work for us, specifically because the Clan is very nearly full of ST holders. When you take away the Pro12 allocation and the Glasgow allocation, even limited to 1 per ST holder, there are going to be people missing out.
Maybe but 1 ticket per season ticket would have at least meant no season ticket holder was banished to behind the goals.

It's probably easier from them to say nothing, and then confirm when it is sold out.
At least they are admitting that somethings aren't perfect, and letting the fans know why

Thanks for the clarification Shelflife. A few people I have talked to were under the same impression so it's nice to be able to tell them otherwise.Shelflife wrote: I'd just like to point out that tickets were not on sale at the awards dinner on sat night.
A few of us who were at the dinner became aware through the forum and a few of us availed of the opening.
They were not selling them at the dinner.

There should be enough floating around to sort out most of us. We'll all have people asking us for tickets but make sure the regulars are sorted first and then give the spare Main Stand, end terrace tickets etc to the more casual fans.
I'm upset with you Pinky- I've been in the Main Stand since before the creation of the Clan Stand. Dinosaurs roamed freely on the 'far side' as it was then.. Casual in dress I'll accept, but a casual fan... never..
I'll hit you a wallop when I see you..

Apologies mahick and to all of those who willingly choose to watch from the wonderful main stand - and munch greyhound burgers or whatever ye do over there
What I should have said was something like - sort out the STHs with tickets for their usual spot, and pass on the spare tickets to the more casual fans.

That's what they say. So it's not too bad then. It guarantees all season ticket holders will attend the match.greyingbeard wrote: So it sounds like they are still reserving 2 tickets for each season ticket holder until Wednesday (even if it's not is a preferred location)
I'm not sure what more Connacht could have done TBH, every season ticket holder gets the option to buy 2 tickets before tickets go on general sale. They could never have guaranteed the location of those tickets due to the fact that the PRO12 get to decide who goes where.
Well, I think the problem was that they did not make this clear at the start. The major panic this morning was that people were worried that they were not going to get any tickets at all.
I'm lucky in that I got my Clan ticket. But to be honest, as long as I got any ticket, I would be happy enough.
