4 The clubs ranked 1 to 4 will have home advantage for the quarter-finals as follows:
Club 1 v Club 8 (QF1)
Club 4 v Club 5 (QF2)
Club 3 v Club 6 (QF3)
Club 2 v Club 7 (QF4)
NB The format for the semi-final matches in the Challenge Cup recognises performances by clubs during the pool stages as well as the achievement of a winning a quarter-final match away from home.
The winner of QF1 will play the winner of QF2 in one semi-final, and the winner of QF3 will play the winner of QF4 in the other semi-final as follows:
Semi-final 1: winner QF1 v winner QF2
Semi-final 2: winner QF3 v winner QF4
EDIT
O. K., read the rest of the rules. There appear to be special punishments reserved for club 3 that prevent us getting a home SF.
Both seeds 3 and 4 are guaranteed away semis if they get past their quarters.

Maybe I'm being thick but I don't think this is correct, it looks to me like Davey is correct. We finished on 26 with a PD of 123 and Newcastle on 28 with a PD of 107. If we'd got any sort of win and thus an extra 2 points from Worcester last weekend we would have been on the same points but with a better PD and thus finished 2nd seeds.

But now as they are looking a bit more comfortable in the league, they might very well give it a lash in Kingston Park and I wouldn't but it past them to win it and set up a home semi against Connacht/Gloucester, which they will presumably play in their lucky venue of Tulle
Hopefully they get more than 800 punters in. That must have been among the more bizarre away trips in Warriors SC's history.
Jaysus that's looks like a couple of pitches we've had to play on in the past, but with less surface water...

It showed us in QF3, and QF3 winner at home for the semi.
I presume either they are mistaken or I am misreading? (Could be the drink...)
