Also: Aki, Aly, Brownie, Buckley, Carty, Connolly, Cooney (x2), Finlay, Healy, and Loughney would work too!

Its as strong a match 23 that Pat could have had - leaving all the injury disasters to one side.
I think Henshaw owes it to himself & the club to really blow us away with his ability. I believe Aki will really step up tomorrow also. Hon Connacht!!

My major concern is whether the new "Anseo, Anseo, anseo Connacht!" chant is going to be trialled...

I share your nervousness, but on the flip side if we beat Munster now we will be consigning them to the challenge cup, and putting ourselves in our place (the champions cup). The lads certainly won't be lacking motivation. It's going to be epic.
I think the crowd (ie US) have a huge part to play in this game. Tomorrow night will be loudest the Sportsground has ever been. We have to do our part and the players will do theirs.

menacethedenis wrote: Yeah I've been quite surprised about how confident the Munster fans are. After seeing their performance against Leinster I'm not worried about Munster, they have plenty of good players but lack cohesion and as a team aren't playing well. I'm worried about how much our efforts in France have taken out of us physically and mentally and whether the disappointment will affect our performance. If we're focused and sharp we will win.
I thought the same going to France after Ulster but we played better in France than we did in Belfast ( I know same result but still)
I'm cautiously optimistic about this match. I think I need to stop the sweeping statements of how we're going to win. It's not working out

Great to see Carty back so soon!!!
Apart from Donnacha Ryan their tight-five is nothing to fear imo
I'd take all 3 off our front row over their's and Aly and Ultan are more than a match for Billy Holland
Their backrow is very strong though
Really been impressed with Scannell and Sweetham this season for Munster
Nervous? Off course. You'd want to be a sociopath not to be..
It is kind of funny though, in the past better Munster sides than this have come to Sportsground against worse Connacht sides than this - all these times a lot of Munster fans tried and paint themselves as underdogs for these fixtures.. Now Munster are legitimate underdogs and alot of Munster fans adamant they will win

Borders no.2 wrote: Worried about this one. If we had one of our out halfs available would be quite confident but have a nagging bad feeling about this one. For all Munster's faults they were more than a match for Leinster the last day and should have at least drawn. Usually this fixture has been one where we've come in with the chip on our shoulder with a point to prove but in this case Munster are getting slated from all sides but will definitely rally the troops for this one.
While on paper it wouldn't be fatal for our Top 2 hopes to lose here, in reality if we don't win this game I find it hard to see us being in Edinburgh.
Agreed. Very very nervous about this. This is the perfect time for Munster to "put us in our place".
