How pray tell?

We just renewed our clan tickets and only got the option of renewing for the clan. The fact that it's a renew would suggest "Same again please"

I got the 3000 figure when it first opened and had been helping as a steward ; we were told at a meeting regarding crowd safety to expect capacity to be in region of 3000....but to be honest I never got around to actually counting heads :-)!

Sorry, my question sounded bit**y. Didnt mean that at all. Apologies
Was asking my friend who works in ticket sales with Connacht, and he confirmed that the capacity is approx. 2000
I think the capacity has dropped over the last few years. We saw it at the Leinster game, when it was a sell out, and there was a bit of room in the Clan stand when compared to previous seasons.

No offense taken at all ! Its a common enough question asked by many when there's a lull during a match;people look up and down the terrace and quiz the man beside them " how many can this place hold???"..........3000.........

Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

 It looks like there is a way to renew your season ticket for the clan stand even if your previous ticket was on the main stand. Anyone who has not renewed their clan ticket yet should do so asap.

Renewed B)
Clan Membership doesn't have a renew button. I paid last year on the understanding that I didn't have to remember who I was this year...:S :silly:

Renewed.

Just in case anyone's having issues with the website like I did:

- save failing when updating contact details
- FF 38 ESR and IE 11 were browsers affected
- phone number for season ticket renewal is 091 399977
- they got someone to call me back and enter/correct the contact details over the phone
- after that I could log back on and complete purchase

Bugs happen, nice that the humans I talked to were both helpful and useful.

Did they do the referral discount last season or is that gone a while?

The thought occurred to me that the current season ticket holders could do their part right now by renewing ASAP (assuming you've got the funds etc). I know people tend to procrastinate, but if you are someone who knows you're going to renew anyway, and you've got the money, then why not just do it now (like now !).

If it comes to a point where the Clan Terrace is sold out, purely on season tickets, then surely the sportsground development conversation will have to be prioritized.

As you were :-)

Money is a bit tight. I'm going to wait till after Grenoble to renew. Then I'll probably do the two stage thing.
I've attached a very rough document to compare last year's season ticket with this one.

I've be getting my ST for at least 10 years now ,when annual sales were around 200, and I'll continue even with price increase, but not over the moon about it;.Kids were free in then, you had access all areas,or rather The Area (Main Stand)...although inside was always going to be at premium. The Clan Side was a wilderness until The Red Army showed up or the Parker Pen drew European big names in .Supporters merchandise was nill...except a couple who had a little table inside main gate and sold a green jacket ( yes,GREEN) with a small traditional Connacht crest on it and a beanie;.they eventually disappeared when the Branding Guys got involved. There were no freebies, just a pride that you were willing to cough up money up front and show your commitment to the team and be there for every match.Later a scarf was given out,and we still have one or two stuffed in a drawer somewhere in the house.Going back then to say in years to come there would 3000 sold each season ,you'd be told you're nuts.
There's a whole new level of supporters today, its unbelievable, and its going to get even better.
