Update.

Cheers. I'm sure it'll be obvious enough when I get to the ground tomorrow.

Will there be a new Elvery's shop where Lifestyle was?

Had to do a bit of digging Evil g but here's the link
www.connachtrugby.ie/#tickets~season-ticket-pack-collection

They said on the open day that we could collect either Clan or Grandstand side..

I didn't see the email yet but have a look at the Connacht Rugby website, there is a link entitled 'Season Ticket pack collection' on the home page.

At the event last weekend, the pack could be picked up in the office. There was quite a big queue for it. Somebody must have gotten injured as an ambulance was called in and they stopped giving them out. I was told they will be handed out again in the same office. (Near the toilets)
There are two Elverys shops set up. The one on the Clan side is in a similar place to last years Lifestyle and there is another on the Main stand side.
Not sure if they have the pack but I can find out.

Someone should of made a complaint about Leinster having 16players on the pitch for over 5 mins. Ian madagin was on the pitch, In first half, directing play. Whenever play stopped, he ran of in case the ref spotted him

TBH who cares what they think, no matter what they say or think there's still a trophy in the Sportsground!

If that reliable source has the complaint being made to the ERC, not even EPCR, well...

How would anyone know what a Leinster representative was told at a private meeting?

This crowing is a bit much.

What's this now?

Yep,sounds nuts, but true...a very reliable "source" as lads in the media say....but it came to nothing as Leinster ( in the shape of the muppet who met the ERC officials) was quickly silenced by them with " well you should have brought more supporters "....
But we had passion,a sense pride on that day,and we wanted all there to witness that and Leinster to feel the force of Connacht and the passion of its Green Army.
And the boys in blue sure did !

Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

I just don't see the logic in moving games to Thomond Park. Financially I don't think it'd make sense by the time we paid rent and and factor in other expenses which are out of our control. We may make a few euro but its a gamble and we'd lose a lot of the good will within the province.

Look back to our first Heineken Cup campaign, Toulouse was a sell out but the next game against Gloucester only saw just over 5,000 attend. This season was brilliant and I'll remember it forever but if we are being realistic the decline in the Pro 12 gave us this opportunity which we grabbed with both hands and thoroughly deserved. Bottom line is even as 1st seeds its a massive ask for a Pro 12 side to do anything in Europe. Lets say if we lost our first home game, suddenly a trip down to Limerick to see us play someone like Sale/Castres on a December evening doesn't look too appealing. Nothing against those teams they would be tough opponents but it would be a difficult sell crowd wise. If we drew Zebre no-one outside the hardcore would travel.

Bottom line is the support in Edinburgh was fantastic but you have to factor in the fact it was a final (our first ever) and a lot of the support was neutral support or support based in the UK. You see Galway v Kilkenny in the hurling final, Galway probably had 50,000 supporters that day compared to maybe 3-4,000 when playing earlier in the year. Mayo's support has a bigger core but its the same story when they are in a final. A large proportion of support in all sports is extremely fickle.

There is a large proportion of support who go to the sportsground because of the social side of it after the game, they go to the game, have a few drinks and back into town or home at a reasonable hour. If you start asking people to give up a large proportion of their day to go to a match or worse still get time off work many people won't unless its a big game.

We've seen examples in other sports in the past where teams have moved games and paid the price both on and off the field.

If we move games to Thomond we will be making a fatal mistake in my view and will pay the price. I honestly don't see us doing it anyway.

Connacht's need for a fit for use Stadium exists now, not in five or ten years time. With respect to businesses in Galway city, the best way for Connacht Rugby to hammer the point that home to the City burghers is to move the games away. And even if Thomond wasn't filled; the revenue from 14-18k (if we get a decent draw) would be useful in funding additional development of the SG at least..

I know space is an issue- also the fact that there's no seating available makes it difficult for anyone with mobility issues, but moving to another province to play a home game... nononononononono.... and so on...

Without any evidence to support it, we should not present this or accept this as being remotely factual. It's just a wee bit insulting to Leinster. Feedback from Leinster has been nothing other than complimentary even through their obvious disappointment.

This can't be true, can it? That is one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard.
