Was Cooney targeting this game to be back for?
Assuming Heenan is out and Underhill fit for Ospreys gonna be a busy day for whoever filling in openside - most likely James Connolly
Can't wait but gonna be nervy
Yes, Sam Davies has been unreal for them in open play and kicking while Underhill only 19 has been making a name for himself lately.
I hope Heenan is fit for this as he could go to to toe with Underhill and target Davies.
Our kicks will have to be spot on as O's love to run it back.

the Southern Hemisphere guys they have are all big players for them. we have stop to Sam Davies from controlling the game he mixes up the play well, I'd have preferred a wet and windy day for this one but it looks like the weather will be dry, cold and light winds
Why? when good weather and a dry firm pitch better suits the type of rugby we're trying to play. We've struggled in wet weather recently especially against Ulster and Leinster
I know but I just think Ospreys would'nt be suited by a wet and windy sportsground, it would inconvenience them more than us

I don't think any of us would have chosen democracy as a system of government if we thought it would interfere with rugby coverage.
Bloody gaeilgoirs.
That's it, I'm voting UKIP.

Let's play the election with betting on the game : Connacht to score 1st : one TD for one party. Connacht to score more than 20 points : one TD for another. That's fun politics!

5th place guarantees a European Cup spot.
6th place guarantees a 'well done, Connacht' - and that's all.

I would still say either two Welsh or two Scottish teams outside the top half are still possible. Not likely, but why target something that doesn't get us anything?

connachta wrote: Pinky, with Scarlets at 48 points, and Glasgow with two added game to play, do you honestly think there could be no Scottish or no Welsh in the top 6? It was a very worrying possibity but I think it has faded away now. Very unlikely to say the least
Edinburgh are tanking big time and are away to Scarlets next, so if the Great Glasgow Revival - which currently amounts to a home win over a ropey Munster team - turns out to be a mirage, we could well have no Scots in the top 6. No chance of no Welsh in top six given Scarlets and Ospreys form.
On the subject of targets, 5th place has been 62 points 4 of the 5 seasons with the current format. The other year it was 66 but less than 60 would have sufficed.

I guess I should word it the way BN2 does to avoid any problems. Replace 6th with European Qualification.
Good plan. I admit that "third excluding the highest ranked team from each country and the Challenge Cup winner" is a bit of a mouthful. European Qualification is the best way to put it, or EQ for the lazy.
