Lam will have to go looking if he wants to get through December and January and still be in with a chance of a Top 6 place in the Pro12.

If the welshman put some hands on the ball at the breakdown, we're lost. But if Marmion arrives earlier in the ruck and recycle quickly, all is possible for us. Lam was wise to rest him..

Yes Dever and JP Cooney were dominated against Ponty, but who were behind?? I really hope they could do well at scrumtime with Kearney/ big Roux/ Muldoon, and Heffernan to hook, at least better than with young Dilane, "only" 107 kg, 19 years old Pat O'Toole etc. Scrum is a global powerhouse..

Don't have Sky now but there's an option to get other channels- UTV etc and if you look through them you'll find the BBC regionals

Poolman wore 12 but played outside centre with Robbie inside for the 40 minutes he played. In any case Poolman was a complete disaster there (obviously he was not alone, Porter and the locks weren't any better). Exeter targetted him relentlessly in a successful bid to suck in the wingers and make ground out wide.
I suppose Carty was due a rest but as Pinky points out he was much better than Ronaldson at 10 when he came on (and Ronaldson looked more at home at 12 in fairness too).
Kearney can consider himself lucky to get a game this weekend, I don't remember him ever playing that badly. Can't imagine he would have started if Muldowney was available.
I'll decide whether I'm hopeful or fearful once I see the Ospreys team.

The point was to rest Carty for a half-time, targetting this match
