Had a quick look online, and then nipped into the headford road store on my lunch. I already have a jersey so I didn't even look at that section, but for eveything else it seems limited to the larger sizes (XL and 2XL), at least for the mens stuff. There was one Medium fleece left though which I got, so cheers for the heads up!

I forget who our resident Elverys inside man is, but they have 50% off seemingly all Connacht BLK gear atm both online and in store. I'm quite tempted to get a home jersey as I've never had a home one before. I hope the 10% student discount still applies in store to sale items but I'm not sure. Also they don't have the white and blue alternative kit on the website but I saw some in the shop, may or may not have been kids sizes. The hoodies and jackets are really good value too imo.
Also went to look for Ireland kit to see if that's reduced but its page not found, potentially going on sale soon? Or just a cock up from elverys who knows.

Not much happening here lately so ive seen that www.lifestylesports.com/en/restofworld/c...achtrugbyallconnacht are having a good sale at the moment on Connacht gear. Elverys has bigger selection but what lifestyle has, its cheaper. ive tweeted this few mins ago but with only 140 letters its easier to explain here.

for example, ill prob get that green hoodie, was €55 now €25 plus 17% its something like €20.25.

i know we wont have the mazda logo next year but it will keep out the same cold.
the green jacket is also nice, was €65 now €35 + 17% off = €29

the 17% extra off end 17 march at midnight. only works on-line

I noticed there now that if you type in the URL ie www.connachtrugbystore.ie is comes up with a message saying that the store is temporarily closed and gives a link to a form for existing orders, however if you then click on the "men" tab it'll bring you to the products.
I was of the opinion that this was a branch thing and independent to elverys? Maybe there just wasn't enough interest dfoe them to continue with holding the stock at the sportsground. I believe the green cabin on the clan side was originally a branch store but as of last Friday it's being run by elverys again.

Are they finally updating the store I wonder?

I hope so, frankly the marketing and merchandising is embarrassing, it's soul destroying to see how far we're lagging behind the other provinces, I had really hoped that the BLK association was going to address the situation but its actually worse than ever. Seeing Munster, Leinster and Ulster jerseys so prominent in sports stores in Connacht is heart breaking, you wouldn't find Connacht gear in Cork, Dublin etc. (except on the rare occasion).

Elvery's is the retail partner for Connacht afaik, BLK is just the kit manufacturer/supplier. In all likelihood the Connachtstore.ie is dead, can't see Elvery's updating both sites...

On a vaguely related note I was just in Elverys and was informed that the STH 10% discount is no longer being given. Now I know that it's only a couple of euro but with the big difference in the price of the BLK gear it was a nice perk to have.

“Frangas non Flectes: virtus probitas” meaning ‘Unbowed, Unbroken, Honour and Courage.

Droptheclaw, I love it. Send it in to the Connacht Office. It definitely sums up last nights performance.

Good man, CE; thanks for the sound response. The gist of posts can sometimes get misinterpreted when it's just in writing. I actually have the grey one from last year; I had the home one too but swapped it with a French fella at the H Cup final in Dublin for a jacket with the crest of The Polar Bears - a Russian arctic rugby team!

I'll probably buy the home one this season, not a big fan of the blue/white one, but I'd like to see the black one close up too.

Hell, at least it's got us talking about the shirts anyway!

The new top looks good but I have one minor observation/concern: Quis Separabit may have been the motto of the Connacht Rangers and other Irish regiments of the British army, but it also the motto of the loyalist terrorist organisation, the Ulster Defence Association (UDA).

Quis separabit is also a song favoured by a certain type of marching band in Ulster and Glasgow and supporters of a well known Glasgow-based football club.

Just sayin'!

Well it will be an interesting talking point then. I should also point out that it was Cromwell and his cronies that used to say 'To Hell or to Connacht" not D4 divas who were looking for a nice summer home.

Fair play, CE, it does indeed make more sense than Cromwell's quote. But *pedant alert*, it was the Connaught Rangers (as opposed to the native spelling, something attributable to William Petty when he conducted the Down Survey at the end of the 17th century), and I've never been a big fan of mixing anything military with sport; it's a tribal enough area without undercurrents of spilt blood. Admittedly, this is only my personal opinion so feel free to tell me to jump.

A good point and I enjoyed reading about the 88th Connaught Rangers in my history class apologies fro misspelling the name. Again Droptheclaw I should point out that 'To Hell or to Connacht' has military undercurrents also!

As for the jersey well no one has to buy it. I wasn't a big fan of the grey one last year and so let it sail by.

FWIW, I quote like the motto of the Barrets (a Connacht name, I'm not a Barret, by the way!): “Frangas non Flectes: virtus probitas” meaning ‘Unbowed, Unbroken, Honour and Courage'

Not a bad range of stuff there, SFP. I like the look of the hoodie with the writing on.

Shame the waterproof jacket isn't green, that's what I'm really wishing for.

I wonder did they go with black, as we already have a green and a white one.
Allows for people to get three very different jerseys. I know for the past two seasons I just went for one green one, depending on which was nicer, HC or Rabo

@ConnachtCows - Always looking for new followers :)
