HA! Thought you meant Henry Street in Galway (up from Dominic Street Upper). There's no Lifestyle Sports there so was confused.it-isnt-easy-being-green wrote: I went into Lifestyle Sports on Henry Street...Needless to say I'll be buying my jersey in Galway from now on!

No sign of it at all - they had plenty of the Leinster and Ireland gear and one or two Munster bits so I decided to ask the girl at the counter when they'd have it in. She told me they don't stock Connacht gear - its exclusively Leinster!
Needless to say she didn't know that Lifestyle Sports are title sponsors of the team and when I told her she just looked at me as if I'd sprouted a second head! She was good enough though to tell me that I could try a Leinster one on for fit and they could see could they order it in for me - I mean they are exactly the same except for the different brand, size, shape fit and supplier!
Felt like Jeremy Beadle was going to jump out from behind the counter and tell me it was a practical joke. Needless to say I'll be buying my jersey in Galway from now on!
Think it might be a good idea if you copied this to Life Style Sports themselves. If you go to the website, there is Contact Us email at the bottom of the front page

Always wondered how I would get rid of the "Purple" jersey. Who knows, the next time we see a Charity Documentary from Africa or South America, we might see dozens of Connacht jerseys in the background. Would beat seeing Man U, Arsenal or Liverpool ones.
I like my purple one

For shame, sir.
Anyone who wants to take any of my old jersey's is more than welcome to book their hospital stay right now.

Saw that alright. It's only in the Connacht branches of Elverys. Seems strange.
Going to wait until I home in two weeks, and drop off an old jersey. I presume it doesnt matter which old jersey it is.
I have a few at home, that i'd never wear

All they had was Leinster and Munster gear. I asked about the new Connacht jersey, and they just told me that it's available online, and maybe in the shop by Saturday
Went into Elverys in Cleary's and all they had was Leinster gear, so I walked out
Pretty bad show by Life Style
Connacht Rugby have just tweeted me, saying that it is available in Dundrum Town Centre. Not much use to me
Did you try the Elvery's Rugby Store on Dawson St/ St Stephens Green, most likely to have it first I would think, or the store on Suffolk Street.
You'd be pretty peed off if you went all the way out to Dundrum and then found they didn't have any...

Getting more details from Elverys. They also have it on Suffolk Street, and Dawson Street

Maybe it'll look better in the flesh, didn't look good on the photos. Leaving asides trifling details like navy being a Munster colour, and Leinster and Connacht not being able to wear their home strips when they play each other, my main objection to this is that if they'd followed the white sleeve round the back (front and left sleeve green, back and right sleeve white) the jersey would have been a stone cold classic, a modern design but with a retro reference to the jerseys of 10-20 years ago that had a lot more white in them.

That is for the age grade teams, the U20's downwards have it on the jersey and shorts.
