I hadn't realised the back of the jersey is navy. I think I will have to see it in the flesh before I make a decision on it.

I agree there is a lot of room for improvement. We always seem to be a couple of weeks behind everyone else- last year production line problems were blamed. Having said that yesterday was the "reveal" rather than the launch. Last years launch in Elverys attracted a modest crowd but there was limited kit available on the day. They sold out what stock they had pretty fast. Hopefully we'll have a better launch this year.Ospreys "revealed" their kit at a sevens tournament a couple of weeks back.swift4prez wrote: Take a look at ospreys facebook page and then there twitter page.
they had a cat walk at the liberty stadium today at 12.30 where players modelled the new jerseys, t shirts etc etc. alot of kids but there was a very big crowd.
the gear was then on sale where people could buy the stuff. ospreys on twitter are retweeting alot, with a few people giving the BLK jersey thumbs up. alot saying got my jersey and others saying 'just spent £100 on osprey gear' etc.
so far we've only seen the home jersey and 2 training tops, jerseys wont be on sale for another few weeks.

If this is not the case, then I agree with all above. It is awful

Apart from that, the jersey is lovely. I don't tend to buy jerseys though because it's an obvious present for my wife/kids to get me. This approach hasn't failed me yet!

Yes the sponsor's logo is a bit on the big size, but the Mazda logo was huge also.
Still miffed there has to be a new jersey, though. In the last three years we've had
2011/12
All green with black trim
All black with green trim
Green with black eagle
Purple HEC away
Pro12 2012/2013
Green & black with celtic design
Blue, white & green abomination
Grey HEC
Pro12 2013/2014
New BLK shirt with darker green
Blue and white away
Black HEC shirt
That's 800 quid for anyone who bought the lot!
When you put it like that it does add up..... ! But that is what they want to generate more revenue every year.

But in fairness, it is a great effort by BLK & the branch. Well done to both on the end product. Again, we've the nicest of the provincial jerseys

Seems to be the consensus on Twitter and Facebook too, though I'd tend to agree with one FB dissenter: "You can have a small logo or money to sign an All Black, lads. Ye'r call."

The Connacht Rugby away kit will be revealed in advance of the new season while the third alternative kit, worn for European games, is due to be revealed in October.
Is it just me, or is it a bit weird to hang on until October for the European jersey? Is it a cunning sales strategy or, like it felt last year, just bad planning?
