Visser playing 11?
McCrea is a big lad, but not as fast as O'Halloran. Can we just get George and Henry to run at him everytime they have the ball? Put the sh*ts up him
Good idea Cows.
Visser is 6'4" and 17st 4lbs, so even George or Henry (who's a unit, but a snmaller one than Viiser) won't preturb him unduly. The Kid is a class act and will step up to Interationals with ease (just a shame it'll be with Scotland..
He went to Barnard Castle up the North east of England (Durham) which has a great rugby pedigree, Rob Andrew, the Underwoods and Matt & Alex Tait, Rory Clegg (Quins), Alex Gray (current Eng U-20 Captain & Lon Irish) are all products...

As duly noted Visser is a concern and it may be difficult for George and Henry to make runs at him on the wing without the chance of isolating themselves. The key will probably be to keep Edinburgh from getting the ball wide and to then watch Visser coming off his wing. Aimless kicks to their back three will also have to be kept to a minimum. Still Connacht have played and beaten better sides. The trick will be to do it away from the Sportsground.

Preview: Edinburgh v Connacht
Edinburgh Rugby's home defeat to Cardiff Blues in round one of the RaboDirect PRO12 ended a three match winning run at Murrayfield.
Edinburgh have lost their last three matches in the tournament., however the Scotsmen have won their last three home matches against Irish opponents.
Another victory would emulate the best ever start to a season for Connacht, when they went on to win their opening five matches of the 2002/03 campaign.
Connacht's only victory in their last ten visits to Scotland since 2006 was 19-17 at Glasgow in September 2010.
The last five clashes between the two teams have all been won by the home side on the day, whilst Connacht's only previous victory at Murrayfield came on their maiden visit in March 2005.
*At Murrayfield, Friday 16th September 7.30pm.
*Referee: Alan Falzone (FIR, 4th competition game).
*Assistant Referees: James Matthew, Alan Forrest (both SRU).
*Citing Commissioner: Iain Goodall (SRU)

Think I'll stick with GBFM, hope our wingers are on their metal tonight as Visser is the danger man, stop Visser and their attack isn't that potent.

We have been there or there abouts in a good number of our away matches in the past couple of seasons and let a number of games slip so really its a case of getting the basics right, keeping our discipline and giving ourselves a chance going into the closing stages. The slopiness in the set pieces early in the game last week must be cut out to give us a chance(even allowing for conditions etc.)
We need all the points we can get in these type of games especially during the world cup. Away trips to the likes of Leinster, Ulster, Munster etc. in the months to come are good games for the fans and for players to make a point but its results in these kind of games against the teams likely to be around us that ultimately define our season.
