I wonder if increased traveling supporters played a role. I imagine Galway in October might be a more attractive fixture for the Quins fans (or even Connacht diaspora) than a trip over in January.

Yeah I was going to mention the run (I wish I could forget that) but I just thought Heineken Cup games would stand outside of that a bit. I think you're right it all does contribute to the spike. At the same time i hope it does show the IRFU if only a slightly that investment will show returns.

yes! i had few friends who showed up because the believed we could beat them due to last season.
also the quins game was the first heineken cup game we had this season.

Appreciate the higher season ticket sales (and better weather) this time but it still looks like we are able to draw in a good 2,000+ improvement through the gate.

So far our attendances with four home Pro12 fixtures remaining are holding up pretty well, the average attendance last season was 4,653, and this season thus far it is 5,078 with only two games this season have seen smaller gates than last year (Blues (-127 down) and Leinster (-769 down)).

Saying that our usual two bumper gates are already in, will be interesting to see how the remaining fixtures pan out. Hopefully with players trying to prove a point to the incoming Head of Rugby a strong finish to the season is on the cards and with that the overall average will increase again this season as it as for the last four. Last season (the 1st HEC year) saw massive growth of 54% average attendance, this season we are seeing a further 8% so far which is still excellent...

that one there is when we played them in 2011/2012 vs this year. thats why i only have 5 filled in = the 5 home games we have played. havent done other teams rise or fall in attendance but you can compare there average from this week to last season a few pages back
