Crazy isn't it. Who would have thought people would feel this way a few years ago.
I think a small part is down to the IRFU. I was offered tickets to the Wales game, at €80 a pop. No thank you. €30 for a high quality Heineken Cup match, or €20 for a Pro 12 game.
I think the players play a big part too. Where you feel and see the Connacht players putting their bodies on the line for the fans each week, and know what Connacht means, I dont feel the same with the Irish players.
Some of them, give off an air of Premier League soccer players these days. There is a definite, large gap between the relationships between Connacht fans and Connacht players, and Irish fans, and Irish players.
Probably not expressing myself too well here, but dont have time to fix up my message

My emotional attachment to the Irish rugby team is gone really with Kidney's selections and gameplan. It's all about Connacht
If I was asked to choose between a win v Cardiff or a win for Ireland in Paris it isn't even a debate
I'd say Wilko should be released to play. Hopefully Griffin is fit as well.

But with the way Ireland are stifling their own players and the way we put 100% into our matches there's only one option. The two weeks off will have done them the world of good after such a punishing schedule.
