Probably not the best choice of words alright. I'll try again, you could be sure Heaslip wouldn't play a whole game with a fractured cheek bone like Johnny Concrete.

What Ireland were always good at was going out and giving 110% no matter who the opposition were and punching above their weight. Nowadays they seem to be going through the motions alot of the time. I have no doubt that the lads were gutted to loose at the weekend and may well rebound this week, for me though to see the emotion and character that all our lads showed over the last few months is miles ahead of what Ireland are showing at the moment. I think half the problem is that very few of them feel that they are in danger of being dropped especially the one on central contracts. Heaslip was okay at the weekend but he has been phoning in the performances for a while now. I say drop them and let them fight for his spot back. You'd be guaranteed Muldoon would give his right arm to be given the chances Heaslip is getting.

Glad to see that I'm not alone in my thoughts.

Crazy isn't it. Who would have thought people would feel this way a few years ago.
I think a small part is down to the IRFU. I was offered tickets to the Wales game, at €80 a pop. No thank you. €30 for a high quality Heineken Cup match, or €20 for a Pro 12 game.

I think the players play a big part too. Where you feel and see the Connacht players putting their bodies on the line for the fans each week, and know what Connacht means, I dont feel the same with the Irish players.
Some of them, give off an air of Premier League soccer players these days. There is a definite, large gap between the relationships between Connacht fans and Connacht players, and Irish fans, and Irish players.

Probably not expressing myself too well here, but dont have time to fix up my message :)

I'd say it'd be unlikely that Wilko would be released. If an LH pulls out in the warm ups Wilko would be on the bench. He'll need to be there.

Totally agree with comments about looking forward to this more than 6 nations

My emotional attachment to the Irish rugby team is gone really with Kidney's selections and gameplan. It's all about Connacht

If I was asked to choose between a win v Cardiff or a win for Ireland in Paris it isn't even a debate

I'd say Wilko should be released to play. Hopefully Griffin is fit as well.

Looking forward to this game way more than the Ireland match. I think that's a first for me.

But with the way Ireland are stifling their own players and the way we put 100% into our matches there's only one option. The two weeks off will have done them the world of good after such a punishing schedule.

Totally agree, pro 12 all the way. Any word if Wilkinson will be released for us and if we'll have a few lads back from injury like Griffen?
