i was talking to a couple of friends from limerick who mentioned that rumour mill in limk is that munster are looking at macca for 6 since ruddock stayed put and ronan for tighthead cover as borlase is prob goin to be released and archer ot ready to step up.
are we vulnerable here? they also mentioned wilko for horan but said that was prob further down line.

Another Connacht rumour, is that they could bring in Munster lock Ian Nagle. Nagle has been much hyped as a lock prospect, yet it stuck as fifth choice behind Paul O’Connell, Mick O’Driscoll, Donncha O’Callaghan and Donnacha Ryan. He could move to Connacht to improve his game time.
Highly unlikely, with McCarthy and Swift on the books, Kearney, Nolan, and Qualter coming through, George having done alright at second row, and the option of retaining Gannon, this is one area we're not badly off.
Plus there are rumours in the Times today that O'Driscoll is retiring and Ryan is considering heading to Leinster, in which case Nagle can expect to get a lot more love from Munster.

He's Irish Elligable, has been here already one year so only two years before he becomes Irish and with Nikora I.Q next year we could get him as a project player. Also he might have a point to prove having missed most of this season with a bad injury.
At 28/29 he's probably the wrong age profile for a Project Player in any position, he wouldn't be IQ until he is 30+...

Wilko will be hunted once he's near the end of his contract, as will Macca. But we know this, we can see it coming. So it's up to us to do what we can to keep them and/or have replacements coming through. Crying once it's happened won't be much use.

It's also rumoured that Munster are planning a clear out this season of some of there fringe players. The likes of Holland etc. Will be interesting to see if any of them head west.

I really hope we have someone lined up. Wilkinson and Loughney(both sides) are decent options but we need at least 1 real signing and a couple of decnet backups which won't be easy.
