The Irish qualified lock will join up with the squad ahead of the new season.

Very much a prospect signing rather than a finished article, only 22 and in Tigers Development Squad with not a huge body of first team rugby behind him.
6'7 & 18st, right dimensions for a lock. Suspect contract value was major consideration..

I'd imagine Bundee has a Samoan passport and is therefore ok, not sure about the others though. Also might the non-EU restrictions be part of the reason we saw so little of guys like Fox, Deegan, and Ili this year?
Restrictions don't apply to Pacific islanders and those with passports as you say, but there are a host of other ways round this such as having a European born grandparent or having worked in Europe for 36 months or more. So we know Tom and Bundee and kosher with this rule, and therefore we only need one of the other three to have an exemption to avoid selection issues entirely.
Edit: Butler was born in Wellington so the odds against him having not one European nor Islander grandparent must be fairly large.
Kyle Godwin was born in Zimbabwe and I believe is of British decent. Also as far as I know all African Nations are signed up to the Cotonou agreement so he should be fine.

Didn't know about that, thanks. I'm sure it's been considered after all the talk about Leinster's issues this year.

Confirmed on Titans Forum since April the 28th, so should be true.
27 years-old, good to add a wee bit of experience in a still-not-that-old-pack, with Browne/Muldoon leaving
Nice research connachta
I didn't stop there, as usual I watched the player on the available Rotherham (poor) games on youtube
2 starting 1 off the bench
My comments
1) sadly he won't improve the darts from the lineout...
2) decent tackler
3) carries/handling are ok but goes to ground too fast
4) good ruck cleaner
5) not lazy to position himself in defence and dummy runs in attack.

Noticeable that all of the IRFU provinces seem a bit light on new recruits for next year.
IRFU probably saving some cash for squad strengthening in RWC season...

Think Fitzgerald is still coming might get a dev deal. Luke Carty has been in the academy for nearly a year now.
