Sevu Reece was the standout player with a hat trick today for Waikato in their win against Wellington Lions 43-31. Got his first 2 within 19 mins.

But have they these passeports?

McCartney as IQ under international rule is now considered European, isn't he?

Sevu Reece has Fidjian exeption (european agreements), I guess

I cannot remember reading any reports on him.

I think he needs to impose himself this year, he had 2 terrible years with injury.
He had loads of potential, let's hope he delivers this year
.

He played the final 20 of Brive game. Massive tackles as usual
I think we would benefit from his 'beast' profile (just as Ulster need McCloskey)
He won't play until one of Godwin/Farrell gets a knock, and even then, only when Bundee is rested
But 4th choice centre, if he can reach that position ahead of Horwitz/Griffin, may still have a handful of games
Make or break for him, with Joyce/DeBuitlear pushing behind

Four seniors (O'Donnell, Robertson-McCoy, Claffey, Leader) and one player who's in neither of academy/senior squads (lock Daly - anyone know this guy?).

I also see that Sligo back row Wojtkowicz started the game today although not listed in the academy.

I think the Lock is the Ireland u20 Cormac Daly formally of Leinster.

His mother is from Balla in Mayo so theres Connacht blood in him.

Solid player from what I saw of him in the U20s

Courage is knowing what lies on the other side and still opening the door.

We may get an idea of some of the academy that has being retained and recruited by the selection.

Godwin sees himself as a 12 ... I wonder had KK said thats where he would be playing?

It's not really a shock, it's where he's been playing virtually all of his super rugby career, apart form one season at WF where he covered 13.....
