No they haven't.
Clyde Travel (our official travel agent) have on behalf of pro12. Very few Glasgow fans would stay in Edinburgh.
If flights are too expensive look at ferries. Stenaline in their special offers section do car +4 for £185 return for sports events. 4 hours to Belfast, couple of hours sleep in boat, about 3 hours to Edinburgh. Or do the sensible thing and stay nowhere near the place. Yes it's a lot of driving but it would be worth it!
There are plenty of buses and trains from Edinburgh in all directions so forget about staying there.
I got my info on the Warriors supporters site....was trying to join their "supporters" club ( in a somewhat subversive angle to get tickets) for semi ...ferry on stena about €400 return ex Belfast.
Going to the Sportsgrounds is a bit like Mass:You stay until the players are off the pitch and never leave early!

According to the website they can be booked through Clyde Travel Management at £175 per room.

However, you have to set up some sort of account and I’m dammed if I can figure out how to. Tried emailing them too but the server bounced it!
Just about ready to give up!
If you click "+Add Room" beside the price, a window pops up asking you to create an account. I'd say that's the way you would do it. Haven't gone through it but it seems like it could be the way. This image is hidden for guests.

I did try that, a few times, but it woulden't reconise the account i had just created. Shame really, as this may be our best chance of accommodation.

Also go easy on Clyde Travel for now - they're trying to sort our charters/ accommodation for the semi!

As for getting there.
Kel-Air,the agent of choice for getting Connacht in the air,had considered a charter flight for supporters but apparently costs are sky high, and its more than likely a non runner. The team will probably get a smaller plane for themselves. And on flights, the more we dither on booking ,up go the prices.I've done all sorts of variations on routes to Edinburgh/ Glasgow from UK cities coming over ex Shannon/Knock/Dublin but averaging £100 single UK end.It ain't easy !
I've even tried to think "outside the box" on mobile home rentals, but tend to be off the beaten track....camper vans £400 for 3 nights rental....

EnricoPalazzo wrote: The accommodation situation is atrocious. What idiot decided to have this in Edinburgh on the same weekend as the marathon and two conferences! I had a look in Feb, £100 per night for a bed in a hostel. Now you couldn’t get a stable for that price!
I bet the press will end up complaining that “nobody is interested in the pro12, sure look at all the empty seats in Murrayfield for the final!!!"
The lack of travel/accommodation options has the potential to really ruin this. I've done a fair bit of searching, and you can't fly cheaply anywhere near Edinburgh, and the few seats that are left now will be snapped up by Leinster/Ulster fans before we know our fate. It's a real pity a charter flight is not an option. As I mentioned on another thread, Ryanair did day return flights for the world cup quarter final that worked out great. That would solve both problems.

there'll be an 8 yr old with us, don't need the hassle of late evening trains after the match, with him along.
Our hotel is on numerous bus routes into center, and they run late so we should be good.

Motel One-Royal booked for all nights...right across from Waverly. Got it a few weeks ago for a reasonable price but it looks to be sold out now.
Two tickets booked in W19. This is a vacation trip for me so I'm going whether Connacht win or not (so no need for #NoJinx for me).

flights from NOC to EDI, Friday -> Sunday with flyBE.
Hotel is a travel lodge near city center.
Match tickets are on the end-line, west stand, I think. I might look for better but these were best available for 3 people at the time. 30 stg adult, 10 stg kid.
Hotel is about 130 stg a night. Free cancellation, but since we've booked the flights, we're going regardless.

I'd be waiting on results before booking anything but outside Airbnb Edinburgh looks mental to stay in.
Hopefully people will cancel rooms to free up availability after the semis, but the laws of supply and demand will mean they are still mad expensive.
Pro 12 final and the marathon and it being Edinburgh will keep the cost up

You'll get more joy on the Glasgow forum than the Edinburgh one!
