I can't see them doing it for a semi final. A final sure, a semi-final probably not.

Munster did it it for the Heineken cup and it was fantastic for the fans and the players said they seen it on the big screen in the stadium and it gave them a lift.

The craggy Island crew had the idea of Connacht and the City Council getting together to organise a big screen in eyre square for the semi final. It was done recently for the Galway hurlers, apparently successfully. Now perhaps there would be concern from a health and safety perspective because it'll be a Saturday evening event which may lead to more people drinking etc, but it seems like a good idea to me, especially in light of the ticket sale fiasco this morning. These type of events can generate a lot of revenue for businesses, and it might make it easier for Connacht down the road when they come looking for funding from businesses around the city to pay for our new fancy stadium
