Hungover but delighted at the result and even more so by the way it was earned.

I reckoned we'd win well during the week and that's exactly what happened. We killed off their threats, dismantled their scrum, and our backs ran in some lovely tries.

Sad in a way to see Munster at a very low ebb, but we are far better than them this season and if we make Champions Cup and they don't it's only fair.

I initially wanted to come in here and say we shouldn't get carried away about beating a mid table team, but actually that's not fair to Munster or Connacht. Its not a vintage Munster team but they still have quite a few very good players and as expected played much better than their last few games. They were missing a few but we were missing more and arguably more key players.

They made a strong start and played a wider game than I or possibly Connacht initially expected. Despite this after 10 minutes or so Connacht had figured out the dangers, adjusted the gameplan slightly (didn't defend as narrow) and basically started to snuff out their strengths and proceeded to dominate Munster.

I said it a few weeks ago but Connacht are not just sitting on their laurels they're continuing to develop as a team which bodes really well for the final run in. At this stage of the competition most other teams are just looking to consolidate their strengths but we're continuing to see experimentation and growth. To think that by the 50th minute a win against Munster would be a foregone conclusion is ridiculous but that's where the teams at now.

Outside of BJ Botha (knee), Mark Chisholm (concussion), Tyler Bleyendaal (quad), Denis Hurley (calf), Kevin O'Byrne (knee), Peter O'Mahony (ACL) and Dave Foley pretty much....

O'Mahony is a leader, and that is what the current rabble seems to be missing....

Unusual to feel fairly relaxed once we started playing after gifting them a lead. The Sa'ili near try aside it was as comfortable as the scoreline suggests. Rarified heights for us Connacht supporters.

Delighted that the Champions Cup place is secure, but hopefully there is more to.come if we're lucky with injuries....

Great respect for him as a player but he's come out with deluded nonsense like this on a regular basis after defeats and it's getting quite tiresome. Sooner Munster give him and his coaching staff the boot the sooner they can start to re-build. Doubt he'll fall on his own sword though with another year to run.

Maybe I'll change my mind in the next week or so, but after reading that I hope Edinburgh come to Cork and beat them. Please Anthony take your beating like a man and admit the reason you lost was Connacht are the better team.

What a game !!! Watched in with my brother in law , a fervent Munster supporter and Sponsor. We were by far the better team and its also interesting to note that we were shy eight players from the starting 15 when we beat them in Thomond, oh and BTW I had corporate tickets for that match. I got him into the Clan, don't ask how, but he said after that it was one of the best experiences he ever had at a rugby match. We are now asking serious questions of where we are pitched in terms of the provinces !! For example , they have I believe five front row players in the Irish 44 squad, we had one today and we screwed them.

We played great rugby but I don't think I've ever seen a Munster team dominated physically to that extent. We gang tackled Stander at every opportunity and TOD was just blasted away physically. Their scrum was annihilated.

We're guaranteed 5th and a win against Treviso guarantees 3rd. First time we've ever won 3 interpros, and a record number of tries scored. Nosebleed time.

Also. I would imagine that was Keatleys last game for Munster.
