To some of the Munster faithful, passing and off-loading looks like chaos. They have their love for the Gods of Bosh, Up the Jumper, and Kick for Territory. They flirted with chaos for a while with Penney - but they fell.

"Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some, are given a chance to climb. They refuse, they cling to the realm or the gods or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is." - Pat "Littlefinger" Lam

Lets hope we keep on climbing for the next few weeks. ;) :P

Boost for Connacht's Pro12 title tilt as Jack Carty returns to full training

The Athlone [Jack] native returned to full training earlier this week and Connacht coach Pat Lam says he is fit and available to take on Anthony Foley’s side this Saturday.

“We are conscious he hasn’t played for a while. He will go through quite a vigorous training today and obviously test everything out.

“Dave Ellis put him through progressive contact play in the last couple of weeks, including this week as well. He is available for selection as I speak now.

Despite taking a couple of blows in Connacht’s loss to Grenoble at the weekend O’Leary has been passed fit after a few “bumps, bruises and black eyes”, which could mean a bench role for Carty this weekend.

However, there is some bad news for Connacht with winger Danie Poolman ruled out with a foot injury picked up in the south of France – he is waiting the results of a scan to discover the extent of the injury – while Jake Heenan could be out for the remainder of the season with his ankle injury.

Flanker Heenan will miss the next three to four weeks with the injury sustained in training last week, which could end his campaign depending on how Connacht fare in the coming weeks.

Cork native Rory Parata has also been cleared to return to action for the first time since February when he picked up a kneecap injury in training, but full-back Tiernan O’Halloran, MacGinty and Craig Ronaldson are all confirmed as absent for Saturday’s sold out Sportsground clash.

I think our backs are too strong for them - Bundee is a warrior and Matt Healy is too quick and deadly. Kieron is the lynchpin however.

I'll be in the Clan Terrace for this game and I'll be there early too. A few pints and I'll be in fine voice.

Come on Connacht!

No idea on the permutations but really want a Glasgow/ Connacht 1/2 finish.

If Edinburgh fail to pick up at least a losing bonus point (or alternately a try bonus point) against Leinster, we are guaranteed 6th before we play.

If Edinburgh get anything less than a try bonus point win (5pts), a win (4 pts) over Munster guarantees us 5th.

If Edinburgh somehow get the tbp win against Leinster, we'd need the same to guarantee 5th this weekend.

So excited about this game.

We've sold out completely and this is wonderful. Our form is excellent and Munster's is poor. We are at home in front of a FULL HOUSE.

I know we have injury concerns but I'm quite bullish about our prospects - Connacht by 15+ points. I think we can slice them apart and ruin their Euro aspirations.

The power in Irish rugby is shifting to the West!

Time to get excited about this one.

The game is a sell out
It's a Saturday night game
We've never completed the double in the league over Munster
Rumors have been heard that Jack Carty could be available
Any victory for Connacht will guarantee that we finish ahead of Munster this season.
In the history of the Pro 12, Connacht have never finished ahead of another Irish team

Should hopefully get some squad news this afternoon
I'd expect Munster will have their strongest team out

Weather for Saturday is expected to be dry

Connacht's only PRO12 defeat at the Sportsground in their nine encounters this season was 3-10 to Ulster on 26th December.

Munster's last four matches have all been won by the home side on the day whilst the Munstermen' s only victories outside of Ireland since November have all been on trips to Italy.

Connacht have won two of their last three fixtures with Munster but have never achieved a season's double over their southern neighbours.

At Sportsground, 7.15pm Live on TG4 and Sky Sports
Referee: Ben Whitehouse (WRU, 22nd competition game)
Assistant Referees: Gary Conway, Nigel Correll (both IRFU)
Citing Commissioner: Eddie Wigglesworth (IRFU)
TMO: Brian MacNeice (IRFU)
