Clearly, he was brought into the squad as a young tighthead to get 'the joe show' experience. Possibly as a bit of a kicking to Rodney and Furlong also? A lack of foresight by 'St Joe' has probably caught them out and they now have to put Finlay on the bench. Probably too strict with their own rules and philosophies on having to be in the squad and having to know the system.

Very underwhelming selection profile from Joe in terms of change and opportunity........but we can't be seen to stir criticism of Joe in case they come looking for our Pat !

Cian Healy in particular is a bad call. He's played like a 'p*g' anytime I've seen him recently, dropping balls, getting turned over in the scrum and in contact. How he got the three year deal is beyond me. Would love to see Marmion get a decent run.
