When you have so many injuries you need to list them by position.

I know he's only played a few times, but our scrum is much more solid with him in it, and we're clearly struggling for depth in the front row as it is.

Poster on boards claiming to be his cousin says he's out for ten weeks, in which case til early March. He was in a moon boot and on crutches after the match, wasn't putting any weight whatsoever on it. Official update likely in next week's casualty list.

Cheers. I got on to Dave Finn on twitter and he reckons 6 weeks. I'll go with that, until I hear a lower estimate.

This thread is also for wondering why a new stadium hasn't been built yet, declaring that people and things are just not good enough at this level, announcing that Pat Lam is leaving, and debating whether a new thread is needed.

A mod could always just lop off the year part of the thread title. No biggie either way.

We used to have a separate thread for injury updates, and this one was meant for squad updates (contract extensions, new signings, players leaving etc). It has become a bit of a dumping ground of late.

First world problems.

I know, It was just about the symbol AND the fact we usually have talked about transfers on a new topic named with next season number!
But we will do as you all prefer :)

This is not boards.ie. No need to change after 100 pages

The idea was before the external signings for 2018.. Don't remember what moment we've chosen last year. Before or after Boshoff announcement?
EDIT: Easy answer, this topic started 1y and 3m ago Time for a new one, I guess

Well if we're sure recruitment is complete for this season...

A lot of players still there with contract expiring this summer. But none of them was so important.
IMO the next priorities are Parata, Cooney and Carey

If Masterson has made a full recovery he's more important than any of them. The obvious replacement for Mul at 8, and possibly as captain too eventually.

I'm inclined to agree but I took into account that:
-Dawain SOB and McKeon can play 8, he's not in a crititical position as Roux, Carey, Buckley, Carty and Parata are, in the Connacht-squad perspective
- We can't be sure he'll come back stronger than ever after an 8-month injury. SOB/Heenan had slow (re)starts but managed to do it. Hope the same for Eoghan really, but I'm waiting the next few weeks to see how he goes before prioritizing him.

I'd like to see dawai getting a run at 8 even though he is a beast at 6 and he might not be tall enough for a lineout option at 8? Try scoring machine if you give him ball in hand to run though.
